Never in my life would I...

I am very pleased that we re-signed Boston. I think we can expect good things from him this season. He seems to have a positie attitude. Saban handled the rick and Boston situations better than anyone else could have imo. Go Dolphins!!!!

I am all about Boston returning. Last year he got hurt and made a stipid decision to use steroids to help him recover in an attempt to play some of the season. Before he got hurt he was doing everything we asked of him, he was dropping weight, he was at every minicamp and training camp an he was getting along with his teamates. As far as the airport incident, it sounds to me like the old man deserved it:evil:

Boston can make a huge impact this year if the team and himself play their cards right

im not gonna "flame" anyone for their opinion just because I dont agree with it..but I will call out "dolphins fan's" who spit NOTHING but negative about one of the more talented players on our roster!! When people start saying Derrius Thompson is better, that Boston will be lucky to make the team..I get a little annoyed (as I would for ANY dolphin if the case came up)....

..But hey if you wanna write off a 26 year old WR fine but dont be fairweather about it and ONLY support him when he is having 100yd games....

....Every year he has stayed healthy he has been VERY impressive, and before you fantasy geeks bring up S.D, people who know football are well aware a WR can only be as good as hs surroundngs allow hm....(see Chambers)

..if you question his ability to stay healthy fine...understandable!! But to suggest a healthy David Boston is still a #3 or #4 to me is insane!!!

Last week there was a "Name your 10 Favorite Current Fins" thread and I was shocked at all the mention David Boston received. A player who has never lined up one snap for us and he garnered much more attention than longtime Dolphins. I have not detected any undue negativism toward him on this forum. David Boston and Will Poole were the two value pickups Rick Spielman made last year and I always supported them.

I also have no idea what to expect from David Boston, this year or any future year. Living in the West I saw virtually every Charger game in 2003 and that David Boston won't help us at all, unless we're looking for a bloated and awkward WR who stumbles out of cuts and whiffs every block.

totally bash and be so pessimistic over a DOLPHINS player than most of you are about Boston!! He does play on your fav. team ..right???????? Most of you trust in a guy who quit on us the last second more than a guy who did everything we asked of him last year!!! Unreal i dont rag on ANY dolphin players because Im loyal to the team and expect good things from everyone....the guy is 26 and you wanna write him off?? There are other phins with alot less potential who can do no wrong in your eyes, Stop being such pessimistic HATERS!!! Remeber this guy is on YOUR team..:shakeno:

...by the way math wiz's..he missed 1 season..where you guys get 2 is beyond me!!!

Easy there big fellah! I'm really excited about him, even if he has had trouble. He was signed for a good price so if it doesn't pan out we are ok. It's a no lose situation, but I believe he'll play well if he's not hurt.

Well Boston was definitely out of shape in that game. The guy weighed in between 250-260 when playing for the chargers. But if you think about it, Boston at his worst, Out of shape, injures for a bunch of games, takn out of games because of conflict with team, and Shottenheimer, especially in the beginning of the season, yet still managed to get 880 yds, for the season that year. He picked it up a little at the end. I never thought that he was going to get that many yards, especially with how things were going, I think Boston being off the "juice" which he is now, would help him be healthier and not be as prone to injury. If Boston out of shape, and the size of a big linebacker can get 880yds, well I like the sound of a David Boston with a better attitude, focused, and is 233 yd, which would put much less strain on his legs, and give him his speed again when he's completly healthy again. Miami shouldn't rush him in, they don't need to either, I guess Boston's 85% right now, and he's ran pretty well, he's limping, but it's more from his shin splints than his knee, unlike what some people thought. Nick Saban even said in an interview after one of his mini camps that shin splints have been bothering Boston, and Foxsports also confirms that too I believe. There's still a lot of time, it's only June, and it's already or will have been a year from Boston's injury. I think he'll be pretty good (at least 95%) by the start of the season, latest October. It wouldn't really hurt Miami anyway, so they could wait a little before forcing him in, because Miami's got Chambers and Booker, McMichael, a healthy Boston coming in would make Miami's offense that much more potent.

I think because your as Skip Bayless puts it a "Luckeye" fan you're probably a little too biased. What has Boston done? Besides taking a banned substance, and getting in some trouble in an airport for the Phins? I'm not gonna write him off but how good will he be without the juice? This is the same guy who told teammates in San Diego "don't hit me too hard," because he got his nipples pierced, I remember an article from ESPN the mag when he signed with San Diego that one person, I don't remember if it was a medical expert but they doubted he would live to see 30. I would like to see Boston play like he did for the Cardinals when he was one of the best WR in the NFL for a season, but I have my doubts. If he plays like he did in Arizona he is a steal, but if he doesn't there really is not much risk. If any player contributes to help the Phins win I support that but I am skeptical of many players not just Boston.

I have always supported Boston, but people are saying that he is still going to need another year to recover from his injury. Hopefully that's not true and is 110% by the start of the season.

ill admit...boston is #1 on my hate list.....he was a waste of a draft pick last year and has yet to prove anything to me...he had 1 good season before getting hurt....and now he hurt his knee again...until he proves to me he can still play, I will bash him

I honestly don't see Boston being very productive without the "juice". Also didn't he get hurt on the first day of mini-camp??:shakeno:

Shin splints bro shin splints...........not an injury.......it happens when you come back from injury.

So are you going to keep reading those articles from 2002 and 2003 or are you going to try and read up on what's happening now? His agent has finally convinced him that if he wants to resurrect his career he has to give up his My Olympia-esque aspirations. He's got a brand new baby daughter........he's gone on the record as focused like he's never been before. At least the man has said as much .............Ricky's just cruisin in the Mystery Machine on his way back to Miami, fully expecting open arms without having addressed anyone yet.

If you are talking about David Boston in Arizona, He actually had TWO good years. back to back over 1,000 yard seasons. One in which he had like1,150 yards, and then he had a monster season the next year with almost 1,600 yards, like 1,590 or 1,598, something like that. Still, 1,150 is a pretty good season, also.

The deal is set up in practically a win-win situation for Miami, the worst thing Miami can do is not evaluate David Boston, especially when he was injured last year, and could still comeback, or play great with another team. He's minnimum salary, we get to see what he's got , Miami's not relying on him, unlike last year, Miami will lose nothing if he gets injured or doesn't play well, and will at least have a good indication how Boston's career will be from then on. The offense would carry on with Chambers, Booker, and McMichael, and then Miami will just draft a WR next year, no big deal.
