PICK #9 The

Dolphins Pick:

Daymeion Hughes
(CB, California)
Nick Saban’s squad was at it again after starting slow and coming on strong to finish out the year. Miami might need help along the offensive line, but in this projection they go for help at CB with Cal’s Daymeion Hughes. Hughes is arguably the best senior CB prospect in the draft and has had a nice career at Cal, showing good size and play-making ability.

3 rounds without a lineman? Kind of hard for me to believe that, I suppose if a FA signing comes through. Oh well, lots of time to guess till the draft.

finished strong? we didnt finish strong-but hey i agree we need the secondary help

umm ya this has Patrick Willis being drafted two time in the first round. i know hes good but jeez. just thought i would point that out.

I noticed it too, kind of a bad error on their part.

Rufus Alexander is not the preferred size for a 3-4 linebacker. And we don't need a WR in the third round.

JaMarcus Russell is projected to be a 1st rounder and he's slipping to round 2?
Sorry but I can't see us completely ignoring our O-Line woes through the first three rounds. If Staley and Ugoh are even available in the third round, I would think Miami would have to grab one of them. If they don't play tackle they could always play at guard and be starting by Game 1.

One more thing a rookie CB would have to be pretty gifted to come in and start in Saban's system (unless you're talking nickle). Hasn't happened yet. So, why draft a CB in round 1 if there's no immediate impact?

We need to trade down into the 20's

Pick up Buster Davis or Woodley

in the 2nd id pick up Dan Mozes

with that extra 3rd round you could get a decent DT and then we move on
