New AP Poll out

I knew Texas would jump ND, and dont have a problem with it. I didnt expect to drop to 5, but oh well. 2 big games coming up that should prove a lot one way or the other
 
wow michigan moves up 4 spots when they were very close to being beat almost in the 4th quarter to vanderbilt...while we drop 5 for beating UAB?

Man the media hate for Oklahoma is so clear :shakeno:
 
Hmm, ND drops to 5 because of a poor offensive showing, yet FSU's offense blew big time and they go up in the rankings.

are you serious?

we faced a top 5 defense in the nation. GT cant hold a candle to Miamis Defense.

also, we went up to 9, not top 5 or something.
 
USC is loaded and if they can get by Notre Dame should run the table, again. West Virginia has an opportunity also, I thought going into the year the winner of WVU vs Louisville would run the table but with Michael Bush out i'm not so sure. It's way too early to say anything about the Sec because that conference is loaded this year.
 
Rankings don't really mean crap at this point in the season, but I'm supporting OSU this season, so hopefully they can push Texas away.

OU dropped because the first poll was out before Bomar got the boot, the drop is because of that not who they beat.
 
i dont like that, notre dame won but they drop. It shouldnt matter how you beat a team. Long as you get the win

They did nothing to deserve that ranking though...it was only a preseason poll. Had this been 2 months into the season, I don't think they'd drop after a win. Although they were very fortunate to beat an unranked team.

Completely disagree, the 2nd ranked team in the nation deserves to drop a couple spots after BARELY beating an unranked team.

This is the problem with preseason polls, to much of a popularity contest.
