I think out of decency and fairness to the guy, they should just trade him for a late rd pick or release him outright. Let him compete.
The guy was placed in the most hoffific situation imaginable his rookie season and clearly wasn't supported by the coaching staff last season. He was an afterthought after the 1st preseason game.
I think Henne is a better prospect, but I also think Henne has a bright future, despite some on this site proposing including him in a trade package with Denver for Cutler.
There are several teams that I believe Beck could legitimately compete for a starting job or solid backup with (San Fran, Minnesota, Washington, NY Jets, Denver, Detroit etc).
For those who wish to dismiss Beck as a loser, think about this. Let's say he played for the Patriots and was in the same situation as Cassel with that coaching staff and those WR's. Do you really think he couldn't have performed nearly as well?
Before you start singing Cassel's praises, recall how awful Cassel looked in limited playing time in the prior season and how awful he looked in his 1st game against the Fins last season.
He was DEVELOPED. Something Cameron was unable to do given the crappy overall situation on this team 2 seasons ago.
