New Beck Article from the Herald

Leave it to Salguero to be the last one to find out any news and actually agree what every1 else has been saying ever since the trifecta brought in Henne and Pennington.. the guy is an idiot. i wrote better articles in my newspaper class back in high school than this idiot ever has...

Let him write. It keeps him off the radio.

He is the 3rd string QB, aren't most 3rd string QB's expendable? Man this guy is clueless. I still say we keep him as he has a lot of upside, knows the offense, and is only costing $600,000 a year.

I think out of decency and fairness to the guy, they should just trade him for a late rd pick or release him outright. Let him compete.
The guy was placed in the most hoffific situation imaginable his rookie season and clearly wasn't supported by the coaching staff last season. He was an afterthought after the 1st preseason game.
I think Henne is a better prospect, but I also think Henne has a bright future, despite some on this site proposing including him in a trade package with Denver for Cutler.
There are several teams that I believe Beck could legitimately compete for a starting job or solid backup with (San Fran, Minnesota, Washington, NY Jets, Denver, Detroit etc).
For those who wish to dismiss Beck as a loser, think about this. Let's say he played for the Patriots and was in the same situation as Cassel with that coaching staff and those WR's. Do you really think he couldn't have performed nearly as well?
Before you start singing Cassel's praises, recall how awful Cassel looked in limited playing time in the prior season and how awful he looked in his 1st game against the Fins last season.
He was DEVELOPED. Something Cameron was unable to do given the crappy overall situation on this team 2 seasons ago.

Oh Oh I feel that this thread will turn into a shouting match again like all the other threads where the name "Beck" comes up..

i still believe that he will be traded during or post TC ... regardless of what has been said - he will get reps .... be given a chance to show improvement -- and then someone will need him, as teams always do due to injury.

I somewhat agree, but the whole Penny thing is what scares me a bit. Beck could be one injury away from 2nd string, and Penny is probably in his last year here. I just don't want to let a young prospect go with nothing in return when we could have a solid 2nd string QB to push Henne. I wish him the best either here or elsewhere.

I've never seen so many articles/threads/post/arguments over what ultimately became a 3rd string QB in my entire life.

And that wasn't a bash on this thread, or any posters, etc. I just think it's funny because he is the 3rd stringer and currently has very little impact on the team.

I never heard Gale Gilbert's name come up when I lived in Buffalo territory. Of course, he wasn't drafted in the 2nd round. But he DID come play basketball vs our faculty at my High School!

I like Beck. I think he can be a decent 3rd string QB. However, his style doesn't fit with the Dolphins. And he gets super nervous as we've all seen.

But to all of people out there saying how bad he is, at least he's capable of doing something none of us have ever done. He sucks, but hes good enough to be in the NFL for the time being. Better than any of us can do. LOL

He's just not a Dolphins style of QB. I think he could do good in Seattle.
