Assuming the HArrington deal does come to fruition...

I like the fact that since Saban has arrived, not one QB on the roster played under JJohnson, or Wanny.

Our QBs have needed a complete overhaul for sometime now, Harrington is a better QB than anything we have had in the last decade, and he will become second on the bench if/when Culpepper regains 100% recovery.

I love all the new blood at the position...our QB roster is the deepest it has been in decades...

Ah umm, I believe ole Danny boy was still here within the last decade. But yeah i agree with you that we have a good 1 and 2 QB now.

What are you basing this off of? Marino notwithstanding, both Feidler and Frerotte have been better QBs than Harrington so far.
To date Harrington has a 68. QB rating and has thrown more INTs than TDs.
Both Feidler and Frerotte have QB ratings in the 70s and have thrown more TDs than INTs. Now I'm not saying than Harrington won't turn his career around here-I hope he does. I hope that his problems are all related to playing for the Lions. But he most certainly has done nothing so far that would lead me to believe he is "better than anything we have had in the last decade" (again even leaving Marino out of the equation).

Not to mention, that i believe we have just recently signed, Uhmm, yeah, CPEP. I think he is a lot better, at least so far in his career, than JH. But i agree that i think it was still a good move for the fins to get, hopefully get, JH. Time will only tell.

we are in good shape at qb now, harrington still has issues to work out, but i really believe he can work them out with mularkey, and if culpepper is healthy by week 4 the latest i think were in excelent shape.

Agreed

What IM trying to say is our COMBINED #1 and #2 QB situation is the best it has been in about a decade(or if you want to get technical, the last 8 seasons)
Harrington is a better athlete than anything we have had since Marinos departure that is for sure.
If Fieldler or Ferotte were capabel of taking us to the superbowl, they would still be on the team...I think a couple of you were missing my point...

Harrington is still young and played with the LIONS.....lets not forget they blow........if he would've been drafted by the fins....he would be a pro bowler by now

I wasnt implying Harrington to be #1 over Culpepper...Again IM saying the combined #1 and #2 situation is the best it has been in quite a while. Not to mention, Harrington is a much better athlete with a better arm than either Fieldler or Ferotte. I think Harrington has tremendous upside whereas Fielder and Ferotte were as good as they were going to get...

I guess i misunderstood your point here in your original thread . And on this statement you made last, i couldnt agree with you more. Your right he has tremendous upside. I have always been high, HIGH, on JH ever since he came out of college. Hope he proves me and you were right about him.:peace:

Last I checked Harrington is still a Lion, not a Fin. Actually Lemon is our#1 with Berlin #2, and Culpepper is #3 (PUP) coming off of very major knee surgery. So how is our QB position the strongest in decades?

Harrington being Pro Bowl material.....hmmmm. Doubtful. Hes not as good as Manning, Rothlisberger, Palmer, Green or Brady IMO.
