New Cnnsi Article On Henne

Pretty good article. I don't understand the "anybody but beck" comment though. We currently have 3 QB's in an open competition for the starters, backup, 3rd string role. Sparano has stated the best will play. If that happens to be Beck, then I trust the coaches decision. I, personnally, am pulling for Beck, but who ever starts I will be rooting for on opening day and each and every Sunday.
 
Its good to finally have a real 3 way competition with young promising qbs instead of us bringing in some washed up old qb(green, culpepper, ferrote) or overhyped tool (feeley).
Hopefully one of these guys shine for us, if its Henne, so be it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Beck is the most likely starter, and has every bit as much talent as Henne, maybe more. There will be a competition, and the best QB will start. Henne is a rookie though, and I wouldn't put any money on him starting.
 
If he's that "ready" he should be able to beat our McCown and Beck with no problem. Whatever direction we go, it's nice to see some potential competency behind the line this year.

I do think it is amazing what Henne did as a freshman at Michigan. With that said, I'm just happy that we may finally find a LONG TERM answer at QB. At least we have more of a shot at finding someone now rather than relying on patch-work, cast-off losers. May the best man win.
 
This is a two man competition between Beck and McCown. Henne wont sniff the field this year unless both go down with an injury. I dont see a need to throw Henne in as a rookie. Let him sit and learn for a year then if Beck/McCown dont work out let him work his way in next year. The Fins this year are not going to be a good team and who ever is playing QB is going to struggle anyway. I dont see them doing to Henne what was done to Beck last year.
 
good read and i hope that with the 3 QB we have that 1 will be our QB for years to come.
 
I really liked that article! I was never high on Henne.. I just never felt that he would make a great NFL QB. However seeing as how many people (not including finheaven) are praising Henne I am really excited to see him play in camp and in the pre-season. I still think that Beck should start the season but I found it interesting that in the article he says Mccown is the favorite to win the starting job. I mean i know he has the most experience but if he was worthy of being the starting QB he wouldnt be playing for his 4th team in 5 years or whatever it is.

I really like that Henne is a vocal leader and can take command of a huddle. Being the leader of your team is very important especially for the QB. I cannot wait til training camp starts!
