.... im going out on a limb here, and I am going to say Jon Gruden. Gruden took a bad bucs team with mediocre QB's and turned them into the SB champs. I think our team this year resembles the old bucs. We have a great defense and I wouldnt be suprised if Gruden left tampa and was available in the offseason.

Why wouldn't they want Gruden anymore?? 2 seasons after the SB they're ready to get rid of him?? Either way, I don't think I want Gruden...WE WANT WEISS! WE WANT WEISS!!

I say hire Pioli as GM and Weis or Crennell as HC. That way you weaken the best team in the division at the same time you strengthen us. Hiring Gruden does nothing to the Pats.

Gruden didnt do jack. It was Dungy that instilled everything into that team and then they fired him. Dungy was responsible for that Super Bowl. Not sorry *** Gruden.

A bad bucs team? What league were you watching? Tony Dungy built that team up, especially on defense, also drafted Alstott. Gruden did improve the offensive philosophy enough to win the SB, but since then the team has gotten worse every year, significantly. He's a big improvement over Wanny, just don't overstate what he did. That team was 10 times closer to the SB than we are.

I agree, I meant bad OFFENSIVELY, I said in my original post that they compare pretty much EXACTLY to us. Horrible offensive team with a solid D core. Gruden is a good offensive coach and prolly will be available in the offseason. Reason the bucs stink is that they lost key defensive players.

Dungy put together the defense. Gruden finished the job. That old bucs team PARALLELS our team now.

Weis or Crennell I dont think would be good HC's. They are good game planners but I question a LOT of their calls on the field. Ask any HARDCORE Pats fan and he/she will prolly tell you the same thing.

Wanny should be our defensive coordinator, and hire Gruden as the HC and let him do the offense and keep Wanny on defense.

Yea I know, hence why I figured I would bring him up. After last nights loss to oakland, I think he is out the door. He wouldnt be our GM, just HC and in charge of the offense.

Gruden took a good Bucs team with a Great Defense to the SB. The Defense won the NFC game against the Eagles, not the Offense.

Gruden then played his former team, only months removed... he knew their strengths and weaknesses, he knew what to exploit, he knew the tendencies of everyone and everything in that organization. If he had to play a different team it may have been a different outcome.

Bottom line is that it is tough to win in the NFL. However, I don't hear a whole lot lately of "the Offensive Genius" Gruden.

(And yes the sports talk shows in Tampa are calling for his head now)

He took a very good team to a SB team to an 0-3 team with 2 straight losing seasons and you want him? HAHAHA. No thank you. I'd keep Dave before getting Gruden. Gruden won with Dungey's team. He is losing with his own team now.
