Yeah we did, or at least every team I've ever heard of has one in some capacity. But with how things went last year, maybe having no trainer was part of the "fail forward fast" philosophy.

Forgot Henning was the OC in Buffalo. They didn't seem to like him so much. Went their site and get the impression that they feel their potent offense went south with him and believe that he is part of why they had to rebuild from their Glory days. Was he that bad. I guess I didn't remember him.

Here are some others not in your list:

Jeff Ireland's first hire, David Lee, QB Coach.

These 2 were retained from the previous regime, not sure what their new roles are: assistant special teams coach Steve Hoffman and linebackers coach George Edwards.

And one other coach was announced today:
David Corrao as defensive quality control coach.

We had one and also an asst strength and conditioning coach. Most teams have two anymore. They were both new hires by CamRan and have since been let go. Matt Schiotz had been the asst strength and conditioning coach with, you guessed it, the Chargers. He had never before been a head strength and conditioning coach in the NFL. His asst, Brad Ohrt, was in his first year in the NFL after previously spending several years on the college level.

Hoffman is the kicking coach. He's long been considered one of the best in the country going back to his time in the '80s when he worked at U of Miami.
He even has his own web site advertising private lessons.

It hasn't been updated for a while though, but gives an idea of his background.

My question is who is going to be the special teams coach to replace Keith Armstrong? I haven't heard anybody say anything on that.

Maybe (speculation) they are looking at the SB teams and waiting. Our coverage units last year seemed to employ the motto: "Break if you can, bend if you must." Gotta fix that.
