I'm watching the preseason Cowboys/Titans game and they mentioned that the punter hit the score board (the ridiculously huge big screen) 4 times in a row in warm ups and almost hit it in the game. How is this not going to be a huge problem in the reg season. What is the rule if or when it happens in a game? How did they not realize this as an issue when building the stadium?

Well my question just got answered, a punt just hit the scoreboard and I guess it's a re-kick. What a dumb stadium!

Yeah that scoreboard is retarded. My cousin is at the game and he says it's so bright they can't even watch the game. It's so huge that your eye is naturally drawn to watching the screen.

I love that they have terracing though. I hope that doesn't become a problem in the future like it was with English football stadiums.

Idiots. It was great to watch Jerry Jones' face during warm ups when the punters where knocking their kicks off the screens.

You know, for a team that recently had their practice facility collapse on them you would figure that they wouldn't hang a scoreboard that literally weighs in excess of one million pounds directly above the players on the field .

That stadium is Jerry Jones 1.3 Billion dollar Ego. However I must admit he built a very nice venue. I agree that huge video screen is too much, however I like the Party level area for $29.00 you do stand but at least you can move around some instead of being stuck in a seat.

Regarding the punt:

Jerry Jones wasn't happy with the kick, not so much because he felt that somebody on his engineering team screwed up by placing the video boards too low, but because he seems to think that Trapasso was trying to hit the board on purpose. When asked whether he thought the scoreboard should be raised higher, Jones snapped:
"That's not the point. How high is high if somebody just wants to sit there and kick straight up?

"If you look at how you punt the football, unless you're trying to hit the scoreboard, you punt the ball to get downfield. You certainly want to get some hangtime, but you punt the ball to get downfield, and you sure don't punt the ball down the middle. You punt it off to the side."
Later, Jones reitirated that he would not be moving the scoreboard higher. Trapasso and the regular Titans punter, Craig Hentrich(notes), think that's a bad idea.

Said Hentrich:
"I hit it probably a dozen times in pregame," Hentrich said. "Probably somewhere around a five-second punt is going to hit it and some of the guys in the league wouldn't be able to punt here if it's not raised, they'd just be non-stop hitting it. I don't know what the people were thinking. I guess they should have tested things out before they put that thing in place. It'll have to be raised."

Awesome stadium. May need to resolve scoreboard issue but its silly to not admit this is an awesome stadium.

PRICELESS! :possum4286:

I hate the Cowboys & Jerry Jones!

They said on the radio to bring in a crane and raise it would be $7 million.
