Among other things, Darlington mentions that Joe Schad put up links to the PBP and FinHeaven in his ESPN Insider blog. What a guy!!

Also...

Believe it or not, Welker said he’s been running with the first team all week. Ahead of David Boston. And ahead of Bryan Gilmore.

I think he's talking about the slot position there (since Darlington was referencing it), unless Booker missed time.

How can you not love Welker? He's a total underdog, do-any-job-they-throw-at-him kind of guy. God I hope he stays here for years to come.

WOW, if you follow Darlingtons link to Schads blog on ESPN, then click on Dolphins info, it brings you to Finheaven.

Yes people we have found our Wayne Chrebet II, onlythis one returns kicks and can be a place kicker! Didn't he lead the nation in receptions at Texas Tech or was that just in returns?

The Finheaven link is awesome. Joe was cool, but I like both of these new bloggers.

Did Schad ever post on here?

He didn't. But he was and still is a friend of the site. :)

Greg and Jeff are definitely solid. The Post has really been making noise the last 13 months.

Welker ahead of Boston? :shakeno: Don't get me wrong I think Welker has a LOT of heart and can make some great plays on ALL sides of the ball and will be a GREAT player (returner) for us this year...but...a better receiver than Boston. Not Yet.

I look at it this way...picture yourself as a DB looking across the line. What scares you more the "freak" Boston or Welker? Just MHO. :)

True, but not at the WR position. Boston has far, far more athletic ability. It appears as if Welker has a lot more heart. Both could be great players for us, hopefully they will.

Wayne Chrebet never scared anybody either.

Who's scary isn't as important as who's effective. Hey, let people not be afraid of Welker. If the lack of respect helps him gash defenses, great!! :) The important thing is, both players are locks to make the final roster.

The thing about Welker is, he's quick and takes short steps. That allows him to get in and out of his breaks quickly, which is ideal for a slot player. Dedric Ward played a similar role with the Jets before he was forced into the starting lineup.

Hopefully Welker will continue to develop as a WR.

Point taken. :D
