I am an avid listener of Big 105.9 down here in Miami and have loved it for almost 8 years now. They have been saying all week that a major announcement was coming out this morning and I never believed it. They claimed that we would want to wake up at 7AM just to hear it first. Well, I did not but when I tuned in when I woek up....I was shocked. Big 105.9 is now the radio station for all the Miami Dolphins. The new voice is Jimmy Sefalo. I am unsure of the spelling but it soundsl ike that. Here is a big guy down here and is the host of Sports Jam on WPLG. I am so excited because I never have to turn my radio dials again. This is my favorite station ever. Sucks that I have to go back to Orlando (UCF) in a few weeks for college :(.

Reminds me of that Who song.

It's the same as the old voice...

What are you talking about?? The Dolphins HAVE BEEN on 790 the Ticket since last year with Cefalo and Joe Rose calling the games. Maybe Big 106 is now going to START simultaneously broadcasting the show that already exists, but this is nothing new. 790am the Ticket.

No thats not the case. BIG 106 would be the FM station. 790 is the flagship of the Dolphins. Every year the games can be heard on FM as well as AM, in the past it was 99JAMZ and KISS country. I guess now its BIG106.

Yeah, 790 has a contract with them. They signed it last year.

Edit: Here you go.

Huh?

No Way the Dolphins change official stations again a year later. That will be the simulcasting FM station.

Ah, okay. Well still big news. Going to be pretty awesome.

105.9 was making a big deal out of it because they said the rebroadcasting of the game would sound much better on an FM station. Thats like saying a poorly recorded song would sound better on a high end stereo..lol

Until of course you realize that you will be listening to Jimmy Cefalo that is.

They won't be rebroadcasting the AM signal over FM. They will have the same raw feed access from the mixer and broadcast that over FM. So it will probably be a stereo signal (who cares for football), but the range will be better so more people around the city should be able to get the broadcast.

 He is terrible isn't he? If anyone can go back and listen to him call Ronnie's big run against KC, you wouldn't have had a clue of what happened.
