Ok, first . . . all of you "trade up to get Quinn" people, we get it. We know what you want. Some of us happen to think that blowing draft picks to move up for him is wasteful . . . particularly since he might fall to us at #9 anyway.

Now that that is out of the way, I was wondering what everyone thinks of the current moves. I am hoping that the extra 2nd round pick we will likely get for Welker means we will be targeting a DE/OLB like Spencer, Crowder, or Woodley. If we dump Randy for a 3rd, does anyone think we may grab Olsen with our first 2nd? I'm assuming Cameron is going to want a TE who can be a receiving threat, as he had with Gates.

I think that right there would not be a terrible mock. Quinn in the 1st and Olsen/Woodley in the 2nd. If Quinn is gone, we could grab Landry and then try to snag Stanton later. Of course, Khalil in the 2nd is also a good target.

Anyway, just wanted to get some non "trade up" thoughts from people. Can't remember the last time we were actually stockpiling picks. I keep expecting to go online and see that we traded picks for Lamar Gordon, AJ Feeley, etc . . .

i want olsen too cuz hes from da U and ima U fan lol. but he will not be there , he moved up the boards n is expected to be a 15-20 pick. With our second rounder, i wood hope we get pozlusny but its likely that we get timmons because they said after his poor combine, he fell into the second round.oh yea and im not in favor of trading up for quinn , just take the BAP.

I'm all for moving down actually and pick Ginn around 14 or 15...he'd give us our best playmaker since Mark Clayton and Mark Dupper....then with the extra picks from that trade plus Welker's 2nd and the 6th for Daddy we can really get some young players in here and start to build something good.

Ozzy rules!!

Excuse me but I am a little confused. The cider probably isn't helping. But why would we trade a good pass catching TE for a 3rd or worse draft pick, to replace him with a second round draft pick, who is unproven. not knocking you, just want to know the logic. Is it the wife beating incident, that wants him out of here. if it is , I fully understand.

I think the idea is that McMichael has never lived up to his billing. Let's cut the bias here for a moment. Year after year I draft this guy in fantasy football thinking he is going to be a Top 5 guy, and year after year I am sorely disappointed. He has heart . . . and he can come up with some nice plays every once in a while . . . but I have given up most hope that he will ever be a Tony Gonzalez or Antonio Gates. If we can get a 3rd for him, particularly in this draft, I would say do it.

If we draft a TE, I'd want it to be Zach Miller in the late 2nd or 3rd(should he actually fall that far). He's not as fast as Olsen, but far more complete IMO.

And as for the 1st 2nd round pick, I would love to have Crowder or Spencer, no thanks on Woodley though. It really depends how we draft in the 1st though, because I would also love Kalil/Grubbs/Blaylock/Rice at #40 should they slide that far.

You dont know that Danny (Ginn). I thought Yatil Green was going to be better than J Rice, and John Bosa was the answer to all our defensive needs. it doesn't always work out the way it should. I do like the idea of the extra picks rather than FA's though.

It's his consistent fumbling at the worst possible times and not living up to his potential that will get him out of Miami.

Before losing Welker, I would have said that I'd rather move down and take Meachem . . . who I think will be a much more complete NFL receiver than Ginn Jr. But now that it looks like Welker would be leaving, Ginn Jr. is really not a bad option for us (although not at #9).

with the picks we are aquiring, I am all for moving up, but not for Quinn, I say we give Cleveland our #9,#60(Welker),and#72, and get the best player in the draft, Calvin johnson. IMO this guy is the next coming of greatness. he is a freak, period!!! I just have a feeling with a guy like Johnson, C-Pep can regain the form from the past. And if we trade McMike, that will still leave us #39, and let's just say a late 3rd. So we would still have the same # of draft picks that we started today with. and with #39 I hope Ryan kalil is there!!!!
Could you imagine, a healthy confident C-pep, Ronnie, and Calvin Johnson, sounds like a three headed monster to me. And let's say C-pep doesn't work out, Can you say Brian Brohm in '08!!!!! Yeah baby, I am loving what Mueller and Cam is doin!!!!

just my opinion, but since Bowe will already be gone, and by Rnd-2 Ginn-Jr also, let's opt for Robert Meachem/WR-Tenn...respect

Meachem might have leapfrogged Bowe. Of all the WRs to slip to round 2, it's more likely to be Rice or jarrett.

McMike as a rookie showed great promise. Over the years he has added weight (I guess to improve blocking) and he seemed very slow in his routes and could never stretch the middle. He always was hard to tackle but his dropsies and fumbles negated that ability. Now he is a very high cap number (5.3 mil?) and quite frankly he ain't worth those kind of numbers.

Miller would be a nice fit, too! I like Randy, but he's been a bit of an underachiever since coming here. Not all his fault (like last year, when he was forced to block what seemed like 98% of the time), but he's got a bit of the dropsies from time to time. If we can get a third for him, we should be thankful!!

That would give us eight picks (presuming Welker is gone), five in the first three rounds. And this, w/ Randy Mueller making the picks!!!
