The Patriots are fearing the worst for defensive end Chandler Jones.

The team’s most dominant pass rusher suffered a hip injury in Week 7 against the Jets, and the Patriots fear a worst-case scenario that could keep Jones out of the lineup for the rest of the regular season, according to a source. Best case, Jones will be out six weeks from the point of the injury, but they were not optimistic about the short end of the timetable upon the initial diagnosis.

Huge blow for the Pats, especially since they play a gauntlet of offensive teams in that time period (Chicago, Denver, Indi, Detroit, Green Bay, and San Diego).

with the injuries they have had its amazing they are 5-2. Just shows how good a coach they have.

Your record isn't always indicative of the strength of your coaching especially when a season isn't even half way over. Look at Sean Peyton...he's a hell of a coach, yet his team is 2-4. On the other hand, Jason Garrett isn't the best coach in the league but the Cowboys are 6-1 thanks to a heap of talent offensively and a vastly improved defense. Hell, Tony Sparano led us to an 11-5 record once.

Back to the Pats though, yeah they're 5-2 but barely squeaked by 2 of the worst teams in the league in the Jets and the Raiders...at home. Going forward, that loss of Jones is gonna sting them...good luck getting pressure on Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, and Philip Rivers & their weapons without your best pass rusher.

Denver has never ever beaten Brady to Gronk. Brady is 2-1 against Peyton's Broncos. If we continue our usual, and beat Denver, I won't be worried about it.

Doesn't matter if you squeeze by or not just that you win. NE is a well coached team and will probably win the division once again.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Miami or Buffalo get a wildcard but the Patriots are taking the division. Neither the Phins or Bills will be beating the Patriots at the Razor in December. Patriots will finish 5-1 in the division.
