It seem like forever ago the last time we played the Pats and man, they have changed. I just wanted to keep Phin fans updated as to the look of the new New England Patriots.
So what's different?

First off, They're kinda switching to a 4-3 defense, while like us, maintain the ability to do either. They lost Jarvis Green until December. They're getting more production out of their rookie 6th rounder, Myron Pryor (6'1" 310 Kentucky), than Ron Brace (6'3" 330 BC). They're using a 4 CB rotation with some success.
Matt Light probably won't play, which means Jason Taylor on Rookie Sebastian Vollmer (6'7" 312 Houston).
This team is rested and confident. Brady has seemingly re-tuned himself. This is definately a crossroads game for our club, but I have absolutely no idea what to expect. I've only heard haven't seen.

Please add any additional scouting 'cause I'm at a loss.

I really think we should introduce Tom Brady to Cameron Wake.

ive got a feeling that bellisuck is going to go after our rookie secondary often. hopefully we can put a stop to it early so they will have to change up their game plan. i also expect to see a lot of passes to welker. the key is to get pressure on brady. if he gets rattled we will win.

Vollmer has done well since Light went down, so I dont think he will be as weak against the pass rush as some people think he will be.

Well after beating the Jets in a sweep of the divisional series this year and beating the Bills 38-10 in week 4 we are 3-0 in or div; 3-2 in the conf overall.

A win here over at New England and we go 4-0 in the div and 4-2 conf. . which down the stretch bodes really well for us. Even more so as the schedule difficulty does not look now anything like as scary as it did pre season.

Now although we have seen #12 return to some form he still has to beat the Miami hex we hold over the Pats. After all some of Tom Brady's worst outing have been against the Dolphins getting over an 80 rating only twice since since 2004.

Our weakness here is that Smith and Davis although talented dont have the veteran knowledge that our secondaries of years gone by have had and so I dont see Brady being as troubled here.

In 2008 our def held the patriots to a shell shocked 78 yards rushing in week 3 but they returned the favour by racking up 122 yards rushing in week 10 and held us to just 66 yards on the ground. . also in week 10, to go back to my earlier point on the secondary. . they passed for 408 yards!

Our run def this season is still good and is currently ranked #7 in the league which bodes well against the #15 rank of the Patriots and again it is our #21 ranked pass def that will be suspect.

As a result I expect the Patriots to air it out and try to mis match the rooks as the run teams are largely unchanged from last year and as I say our run D is solid. . so the exploitation will/has to come only in the pass game. .

As for Miami well we have a second year QB who is still a rookie in real terms and with his our total lack of credible receivers this season so far, I have to say if they can stuff the run by overloading the box we are screwed as I cant see our WRs burning the Pats secondary. .but who knows any given sunday right. .

In my heart I want this win for Miami but realistically I am going +10 Patriots

Where there's will there is alays a way... Brady is not unstoppable, and their Deffense is nothing great; I have seen the Pats play, they are a well coached team and they have a great QB, But to tell you the truth, I think the Saints are far better because of their D... and their running game.

yeah he has been ok...but hasnt he had like alot of penalties and with 2 HOF'ers coming at him he may put the pats in alot of 2nd and 3rd and longs which would help us.

should be another interesting game for us....we always seem to split with the pats even when they we like the best in the NFL so this will be close.
