With Sparano keeping 6 recivers on the 53 man roster, and us getting an athletic TE in Yeatman, do you think we are indeed going to this type of offense?
If we were to emulte a points scoring team, N.E. would be a good choice. This means Henne has to be up to Brady like numbers.
What do you think?

(On what was behind the decision to keep six receivers) - “I have six and I have six pretty good ones. So it’s a deep position and I don’t want to give up speed. I worked too hard to get it on this roster to give it up.”

man....late to the party or what?

Daboll from New England. When have you ever seen us in 5 WR set like we were for a play or two vs. Atlanta?

Polite was cut because he is a pure FB and New England doesnt have any FB. They might have FB types who will catch and run with the rock like RB's do in the system.

The ball coming out quick on short routes. That is NE all the way. Thats why I say OL may be fine cus all they have to do is hold their block for 2 seconds 70% of the time. Its also why I always say blitzing Brady is a mistake. you have to pick your spots and guess right.

late to the party, sure. More to the the point for me I guess is late to believeing..That Tony would shake the team up this much. Suppose Im just used to "Run it up the middle on 3rd and 8."
I'm just happy to see it actually happening.

yeatman is not an athletic type TE... hes a blocker.. quite frankly i think we might have him gain 30lbs and have him become an OL

I read somewhere when we got him about him being a Lacrosse player. I said athletic because ur always running back and forth in that sport. If Im wrong, ok.

Coaching lineage,

Offensive, defensive schemes, etc

The Pats run the spread, now the Phins run the spread.
The Pats run a 3-4, now the Phins run a 3-4

It's been said that the NFL is copycat league.

However, it's easier to beat up your little brother than someone not from your neighborhood.

I see. I don't think most Patriot fans know about the Dolphins running the Spread Offense? Not to be disrespectful but, we don't think much of your QB. We though well of Pennington tho.

Miami is now New England South

Yeah..... Not quite buying that. The Dolphins have just adopted the "New England Spread", I'll give you that. However, Miami has been running a 3-4 since Saban was here back in 2005. The 3-4 defense wasn't a recent addition.

Except, most big plays Brady gets, he is just standing in the pocket for like 5 seconds with no one within 3 yards of him.
