New England Patriots have Challenged the Dolphins

It's a great cause, but couldn't they do something that doesn't involve wasting buckets of water? Unless it involves dumping it on drought-stricken California

Good stuff. Always good to see people bonding together for a good cause.

Roflmao even I can't grasp at those straws! Drought stricken California bahahahahaha here comes the Miami Dolphins and 7 gallons of water! Drought cured!

Nice work for charity! And after the Fins accept the challenge themselves, they should challenge the patriots to win without cheating.

I'm glad teams are starting to do this. At first I saw the challenge by some people who were not donating and more so doing it just for the grand stand and likes on facebook. Glad to see it is happening with organizations that can donate large amounts of money to the fight and help spread the awareness even more.

I'd challenge the jests to show some class but that's never gonna happen.

Great cause and I look forward to seeing Miami's answer.

Amandola and Gronk were both hurt during this challenge....

While the California thing is mostly a joke, it is a crime to sprinkle your lawn during drought conditions, so wasting that much water would be a problem.

My broader complaint is that people here treat clean water as if it's some unlimited resource, when it very much isn't. We are on the verge of a water crisis, in fact, across the world.

I don't think dumping buckets of clean water is sending the right message to people on how to treat and conserve water.

We waste entirely too much water. See: http://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisreinacher/how-much-water-do-you-use-in-a-day?s=mobile

Since we are in the topic of charity, this is also a good charity to support: http://charity water.org

Now dumping ice made from sewage water on the Patriots would have been much much better.

Complain just to complain.

I am certainly not. The topic of water conservation is important to me. Anytime I see people waste clean water, whether it's flushing the toilet too much, leaving your faucet running, etc., it bothers me...

I just think there would be better ways to raise awareness for ALS than encouraging millions of people to waste clean drinking water. I mean, what is even the correlation between ALS and ice water??
