I like this kid, but he is a longshot to make the team. Inexperience will be his downfall. If it was up to me, he would make the team tommorrow. When he gets cut, I bet you New England signs him. New England likes those type of players. They like sleepers, from small colleges, who have something to prove. New England will sign him, just watch.

I hope u r wrong about it.

Can we stash him in practice squad if anything?

It really depends on waiver priority. I'm sure there will be a handful of teams ahead of New England on the list that will take a serious look at Hogan, especially if he produces in a preseason game.

Belichick pounced on Danny Woodhead when the Jets let him go on Hard Knocks. Belichick pounced on Giants TE, Ballard when they tried to stash him on the practice squad.
I hope that they give Hogan a good look in the remaining preseason games to see if he really does have the ability to make the team. You can forget about trying to hide him on the Practice Squad because someone will be sufficiently interested to give him an opportunity.

He hasnt even been released yet......and I wouldnt say he is a long shot. If the guy is always open and even veterans like Bush have taken notice, he will make the roster. If he didnt, I would expect another team to pick him up.

Stupid post.....

You are all WRONG! He will make the roster via Special Teams... You will see my brothers from other mothers

Hogan is more likely to be poached off the PS than Cunningham, Matthews, and maybe even Fuller. That may not be an accurate reflection of their relative abilities, but so much of this is about "makeup," and unfortunately Hard Knocks has given him exposure we wouldn't want.
With his teammates singing his praises as much as they are (and this before HK), you know he's something special though. I'm hoping we're smart enough to keep him.

i seriously can't believe the hype on this forum about this guy. How many NFL catches has he made? Pro Bowls? TD catches? Who exactly is New England going to cut to sign him? Gaffney, Lloyd, Welker, Stallworth, Branch? If you are questioning the idea of him making the Fins who have a HUGE need at WR, why would you possibly think a team that is deep at the position would pick him up to be on their 53 man roster? Relax people...if he is as good as you guys think, the fins will keep him. I would hope that you would at least wait to see how good he is until he plays in an actual game. Maybe Miami should lock him up with a VJAX type deal? 4 years/55 million sound about right?lol

Where did you get this idea?! From one of the other 8 threads saying the same thing?

Based on all the available information.. The kids will make the roster!!!

From the looks on HardKnocks, the coaches are very high on the kid. He just needs make a couple of plays in pre-season.

I agree, the coaches have taken a liking to this kid and they will not get rid of him. Why would you even post this?

Good thing is...he still has 3 preseason games left to improve his chances of making the roster!
