New England will sign 7-11, WR Chris Hogan....

so the Pats have 9 WRs in camp in Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, Deion Branch, Brandon Lloyd, Donte Stallworth, Jeremy Ebert, Matt Slater, Jabar Gaffney, and Jesse Holley. Welker and Branch were decent starters were good for them so they're safe. Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney are personal favorites of Josh McDaniels so I think they're safe. Slater is the Pats best special teams player so he's good. Edelman's the Pats kick returner so he's probably safe.

I don't see the issue here. Hell Danny Woodhead was an absolute stud in college; he just went to a D2 school. He's one of only 3 players to win the Harlon Hill Trophy (D2 Heisman) twice and was a finalist all 4 years in college. He has the 2nd most all-purpose yards in NCAA history and was the 2nd player to ever score 100 collegiate TDs.

Danny Woodhead was a DOMINANT college football player. He just wasn't invited to the combine or senior bowl. At his pro day he ran a sub 4.4 40, which would have made him the 2nd fastest RB at the 2008 Combine. He missed his rookie season due to injury, but his first preseason game his second year he rushed for 158 yards (the most in a preseason game since 92) and 2 TDs.

Woodhead was picked up after the Pats traded Lawrence Maroney and Kevin Faulk went on IR. So even with all of Woodhead's achievements, he only got picked up when the Pats needed a RB.

Hard Knocks did not get the Pats to pick up Danny Woodhead. Danny Woodhead's collegiate career, hard work, and need got him picked up

Why would we cut him at all, he seems to be one of the better recievers in camp, on a team with no givens at the wr position.

Hogan reminds me of a bigger, faster Wes Welker.

Heard it mentioned on hard knocks that qbs starting to trust him. I think he will make team

Relax people...if he is as good as you guys think, the fins will keep him.

you mean if he is as good as HIS TEAM MATES say he is, right NOODLE?

people who make multiple pro bowls and 100's of nfl catches dont head to on the practice squad.

we dont have wanny anymore.

yer listening to to much of that mars volta stuff. :)

Well if he's open throw him the ****ing ball...............

As Stanley from the Office eloquently put it,

"WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO PHRASE THE TITLE OF THREAD LIKE THAT, OP??"

Some of us still have nightmares of giving Bellicheat Wes Welker.

I like this kid, but he is a longshot to make the team. Inexperience will be his downfall. If it was up to me, he would make the team tommorrow. When he gets cut, I bet you New England signs him. New England likes those type of players. They like sleepers, from small colleges, who have something to prove. New England will sign him, just watch.

so NE takes inexperienced guys and turns them into someone. ala danny woodhead. so you saying we got no guts?

sometimes it requires guts.

For all my time being a dolphin fan seeing these no names make it after we see what we see but live in denial. sad.

just glad philbin doesnt thing this way.

Well Bellicheat will add a Miami cut player this season--you can take that to the bank. He wants someone who will divulge our new system and calls, and he's willing to keep them a year to get it. He does it every year. It's the worst kept secret in the league. I don't know whether that will be Hogan though, as he doesn't strike me as the vindictive type who would give Bill what he really wants (Dolphin inside info), so I'm not sure he would take him. But, I definitely think someone will ... possibly St. Louis if I were to venture a guess.
