I bet the new Dolphins Regime is kicking themselves in the @$$ for every1 involved in the former FO's mistakes. the major part being that JT might or might not be on the trade block on the dolphins still might have had a Pro Bowl DE in Adewale Ogunleye instead of a bust of a WR in Marty Booker if it wasnt for that idiot Spielman

Adewale Ogunleye didn't keep his pro bowl form in the windy city. The trade was pretty much a draw.

umm are you trying to make us push this thread to epic too? I hope not, epic on these boards is bad at this moment ;)

the Ogunleye trade wasnt the best trade but he was holding out for more money..he was willing to sit out that season. in return we got marty booker who was an ok wide reciever for us without playing with a good qb to get him the ball...the biggest mistake was trading for Dante Culpepper instead of signing Drew Brees...if we had Brees how much better would our team be.

he deserved more money and did not ask for something unrealistic, we basically gave his money to carter. We tryed to play hardball on a good player and lost. We could have kept Ogunleye if we had any friggin sense.

I'd be wrong if I didnt add they should had gave Surtain a new contract as well. After all IMH and Informed opinion Matt Roth (2nd rnd pick from KC) has not lived up to that deal. He hasn't produced squat.

Bring P-Tain Home!!!!

Also they didn't get JT out of here when there would have been no question of his departure netting them a # 1. We knew this rebuilding was coming, its just no one had the nutz to go through with it.

That I blame mostly on Satan, he knew this needed to be done, but didn't have the guts to do it. Had he done it in 2005, we'd be light years ahead of where we are now.

If we had signed Brees rather than Culpepper, drafted Willis rather than Ginn, traded Zach for a 3 and JT for a 1 - we would be in MUCH better shape right now.

Before anyone says "hindsight is 20/20" those are moves I advocated for at the time.

truth... Patrick Surtain definitely got more than what he deserved in going over to KC and we had to stick wit Roth....

The Worst thing that ever happened to the Miami Dolphins

You do relize that we got a 3rd with Marty Booker in that trade right?

And that 3rd turned out to be none other than Channing Crowder, people seem to forget we got him also.

I'd give us a little advantage on it.
