Who do you think will be this year's suprise player????

GO VOTE ON OUR NEW FRONT PAGE POLL!

:hi5: :thanks::woot::chuckle::pop:

I voted Sean Smith. While I think P Turner is going to prove alot of draft day commentators wrong, I think SS is going to have the best opportunity to shine.

1. He is being only asked to learn the CB position opposite of W. Allen.
2. V Davis is being asked to learn more then 1 position.
3. If SS continues to improve he should be the Starter opposite W. Allen come game 1While V. Davis would be the Nickel.
4.Being a Rookie Qb's will test him often.
5.If W. Allen truly is playing superman like, like he is doing now in practice, many QB's will not be throwing Wills way. We will see.

All this just puts him in a better position to shine, there will be a big spotlight on him week to week, if he can truly play well he will propably be the media darling by year end.

I almost voted Eric Green since it'll be a real surprise if he sticks around at all..

..but I went with Turner over Smith mostly because he looks like he can be the real deal, and if so, I see his size and route running abilities as being a crutch for Penny given his arm limitations.

Chris Clemons (not on poll).
Unless your hoping for an injury there really isnt much he can do to impact us this year as much as other players. ST's will be his only shot to outshine, even then Patrick Cobbs is usually the Special Teams Standout.

But I do think CC is the real deal.

I'm buying into all the Patrick Turner hype.....

I voted Patrick Turner

im starting to think signing JT back could be our biggest surprise. sounds like hes looking good in practice, and getting alot of reps because of whatevers up with roth. i think theres a chance he plays the majority of downs on the defense not just first and maybe 2nd. and im salivating at the idea of him and porter working out well. but in all honesty i think turner wilson and sean smith are likely candidates

Im thinking that Shawn Murphy could be the biggest surpise. given the need for RG to step up compared to Wideout, if he ends up starting(and good enough/strong enough) he will be in there almost 100% of the time unless of coarse he gets injured.. and i think that shows a lot to last years draft class and will just add 1 more awesome player.

I could see Sean Smith making a big impact but i expect Sporano to use Smith against the big boys. Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Mike Jenkins.. guys like that, i dont expect him to win alot of those matchups without help from up top, (im hopeful though)
thats just my 3 cents.. who really knows its a surprise for a reason

All of the others have been talked to death. No surprises there. Murphy has come out of no where. Five practices deep and he is still running with the first unit. Surprise

Voted Turner, but am curious why Ginn isn't on the list. If he blows up this season, like I expect, than ALOT (most) of the people on here will be surprised.

I went Sean Smith as i think Turner has more to do to do on Offense behind Ginn, Bess and Cam. Smith tho has genuine chance. If one of our Rookies cant beat out Green who is only there for depth only IMO then we are in trouble at CB this season. Im not being negative as i think Smith WILL supplant Green to get #2 CB spot opposite Allen.
