As GM it ws my job to announce my own signing. Especially since Wayne and Nick was not available.

anyone with an idea who we go after, this is undoubtedly a top-5 signing of the offseason. saban needs a guy to be his scott pioli. The TB guy got promoted, so he's out, anyone with some insight?

My guess is that a new player personnel guy will be hired, but not under the title of GM....Traditionally a GM is in control of the coaches. Also, Saban did hire the ST coach of the Panthers (his name escapes me) may be the "personnel guy" that Saban ends up using until he can find the guy he wants...
