How would you feel with our current roster if our new coach implemented the 3-4 scheme instead of our current 4-3? I wish we could run a hybrid D like the Patriots. It confuses opposing QB's and is hard to strategize against it. It also takes a clever genius to accomplish it. That's why Bill Belicheat is one of the best Coaches of all time.

I wouldnt be happy since we have alot of money tied up in Suh

We dont have real linebackers period.

We just gave a 4-3 DT in Suh a 9 figure salary 6 months ago, we are not just going to then switch to a 3-4. On top of it, we can't even field 3 good linebackers on a team let alone 4. This roster would be an absolute disaster if we switched

Spare me. The 3-4 defense and using hybrid players was an Arnsparger and Shula creation in the early 70s.
You praise BB as if he came up with the concept.

Let's just wait until Schwartz is our D-coordinator, then we'll be ok ; )

We would be advised to start preparing our next HC search if this happens. Just another classic case of us acquiring the wrong pieces to work with the current ones. I'd love to hear how Suh's contract factors into this equation. That doesn't even address the fact we have 0 Starting LBs on this 4-3 roster.

So let me get this trade: 1) trade Suh (not gonna happen), 2) cut Wake, 3) let OV walk, 4) cut LBs and then head into the draft where we will need: 1) a complete DL (of which NT is about as easy to find/develop as QB), 2) a complete LB core and 3) a complete CB core.

It would almost be easier to cut everyone and start over.

I wouldn't mind that at all! DE- Mitchell/Shelby NT- Phillips, DE- Suh with our LB being OLB- Vernon, ILB- Misi (or draft, ILB- Jenkins (Draft), OLB- Wake (if he has anything left or dare I saw Jordan?)

I would rather Philips at DE instead of Mitchell anywhere, and Philips isnt a DE. Mitchell sucks.

Yea lets make Suh a 3-4 de , what a waste.

 Seems like somebody got heavily into the egg nog tonight.

I wouldn't put it past this cluster f of a franchise to hire someone that would take Suh's strengths and render them meaningless by switching to a 3-4 defense. Similar to what the Redskins did with Albert Haynesworth.

Oh come on. It's not like you're switching Suh to a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 LB.NT. Suh is a beast and I am sure he can play 3-4 DE.

The Packers a few years ago had a killer 3-4 scheme with Raji as DE, Pickett and the other fat dude lol.
