Since a lot of people wants Saban to be fired, and I'm not one of them, I'd like to see who would you choose to replace him??

Maybe we could hire Pacino. He did a good job with the Sharks.

A good, young coordinator. Not a "name," but someone who is up and coming. Preferably an offensive coordinator.

IMO switching coaches at this point would be detrimental to the team, granted we fell waaaaaaaaaaaaay short of expectations this year and ultimately the HC is held accountable, but we need to give Saban more time to show us what he can do with this team. We may very well end up having a 'fire-sale' on our highly paid vets this upcoming off season to get our salary cap numbers to a more manageable level. This would put us in a true 'rebuilding' mode that could lead to another less than satisfactory season.

Not even going there, Saban is our coach for at least 3 more years. If he hasn't turned it around in two years, TEN I'll make suggestions. Untill then I see no value to a thread like this. One star.

Yeah, if we switched coaches, we might have a losing season. THAT would be unthinkable. :rolleyes2

no one...he's our head coach...period.

have you seen all the mess-ups...the mistakes...the dropped balls...the dropped ints? hey guys...that's not Saban out there.

i hope he stays...and i really think that he'll be successful in the long-term.

Go Fins!!!

honest to god, MYSELF. Or, ...look, we are the jokes of the NFL. Opposing Defensive Coordinators must laugh their ***** off when they see it's 3rd and 1 and we're lined up in a shot gun!!!! It's a joke. Really a joke. If they don't wanna hire me, hold a reality show and give the winner of the show the HC job for the remanider of the season. they have nothing to lose. As of now, with Saban and Mularkey, we're a freaking traveling circus. We really are. Throw some excitement in there.
I'd love to see Huizenga get down on the field like Jerry Jones does and have more say.

Not the point, Rick. Look at teams that constantly turn their head coaches position and tell me what kind of success they generally have. This isn't Tampa, where Gruden inherited a team ready for the Super Bowl, this is Miami, where the team has learned to lose, and the drafting has been woefully weak, and we've stacked all of our $$$ on defensive veterans, leaving not much to shore up the rest of the team.

I was just sarcastic. I'm so pissed at comments bashing Saban

Look at teams that keep head coaches despite their continual mediocrity and see what kind of success THEY have.

So you believe that 1.5 years a coach has enough time to
a) bring in the players he desires
b) resolve any pre-existing salary cap issues
c) draft enough players to add some much needed youth to the roster
d) implement and perfect a gameplan that will get the team to the playoffs

I've been a fan since Shula and Griese, and I've been heartbroken to see the direction this team has taken the last few years. Hopefully, hitting rock bottom will give the entire franchise the drive to be sucessful and move forward. Hopefully Saban can right this ship and make us respectable again. But a year and a half ain't enough time to pass judgement.

to a degree it is. The guys dropping the INTs are guys he chose...and Saban himself works personally with the secondary. The stupid penalties and poor clock management fall directly on Saban as well.
Not everything is Saban's fault, but he does have a substantial portion of the blame.
