Anyone know the status of that new jumbotron? Curious to see what it looks like.

I heard about that, wasn't it supposed to be like the biggest in the NFL?

They are replacing both Scoreboards. The big 1 will be the largest HD screen in the world. It's 66% bigger than the current world's largest HD screen. On the other side we'll have the NEW world's 2nd largest HD screen. An article I read said that they would be ready for baseball season, but that was a while back.

From the Dolphins Website... Feb 28, 2006 - Daktronics and Dolphins Stadium announced that the stadium will incorporate what is believed will be the world’s longest continuous digital LED fascia display inside a sports venue, measuring approximately 2,105 feet in length. The new display will be mounted below the suite level of seats. The fascia display will be comprised of more than four million individual LEDs. Installation of the ProAd® fascia display is scheduled to be completed in July 2006. Installation of the large high definition (HD) ProStar® video displays is in progress inside Dolphins Stadium, with completion scheduled prior to start of the Florida Marlins 2006 regular season home opener. The facility will be the first NFL venue to implement true HD large screen video using full-color LED technology.

“Guests will be amazed with the image quality and animation capabilities of our new Daktronics ribbon-style display,” M. Bruce Schulze, President of Dolphins Stadium, said. “Our stadium is a multi-use, world class venue that deserves only the best in amenities for our guests.”

So I'm guessing that this "LED fascia display" is something like the LED ring in the AAA?

They also ordered and are installing a state-of-the-art light display to go around the entire stadium - kind of like what they have in basketball arenas. Same company, Daktronics installing.

Further, they are installing [SIZE=-1]the world's largest mLAN network digital fiber network. For data & audio.

Tons of other upgrades. I handle asset additions for South Florida Stadium Corp, the parent company of Dolphins Stadium. They are getting out of hand. Good for patrons, bad for accountants.
