With the loss of Dannell Ellerbe the Miami Dolphins needed a replacement and found one in free agent Kelvin Sheppard. Sheppard shared his enthusiasm today after the signing became official.

Excited and extremely blessed to be newest member of the Miami Dolphins!!! #FinsUp #Blessed #LetsGetIt
More often than not these days we learn more from Twitter than we do the Dolphins but in this case the Dolphins told media today they would be adding the linebacker. Sheppard has played for the Bills and the Colts. In his three NFL seasons, Sheppard has started 31 of 47 games, has three sacks, 122 tackles and 74 assists. He is expected to come into Miami and compete for playing time.

Buffalo fans are apparently ecstatic if he is on the field Sunday. Usually not a great sign.

Buffalo fans get excited for 10 cents wings and women under 250...

Carrying way too much weight it appears if those stats are correct....the NFL is a move game now...235/240 lbs is enough...

Whom ever we play there you know the Bills will be going after them big time. I'm more worried about Trusnik in the middle than I am the outside guys like Jenkins or McCain.
At least we know what's coming.

At this point we're looking for special teamers. The back ups are starting so their back ups need to play STs

250 lbs?

Hope this guy dropped weight during his off season training because LB's need to move side line to side line in todays NFL, not 3 years ago NFL.

In all honesty, doubt this guy gets on the field until after the bye week (apart from ST work).

Allows us to take Trusnick off ST duty and keep him fresh for acutall D play.

I saw Trusnick pulling double duty on ST and D after Ellerbe went out, boy was he huffing and puffing for air.
