Those combine numbers are from a few years back, so figure he's stronger now. Anyway the point here is that when the backup LBs start it takes a toll on special teams because they are usually cover guys. We need some warm bodies to run down on punts.

Sheppard is listed as being 252 pounds. Perfect size for a linebacker.

I'm okay with the signing, I've been saying it since he was cut. Granted, I haven't seen him play much at all but Colts fans around here seem to think he was atleast average and good in coverage
