Well i decided to give this another crack. I will give you the selection a description and followed by my reasoning for the pick.
1st round
Clint Sintim SLB UVA (6-3 254)-Great pass rusher, can honestly beat any tackle off the ball and uses his hands well. Has a knack for the ball and causing turnovers. His stock is flying up but wont play in a bowl game so his stock may be hurt. He will be great on that strong side for a decade he a Peezy may be the nastiest pass rushing duo in the NFL.
With BP's track record i see a LB with the 1st pick this year we need a NT but he doesn't pick those early look for that later. And we need a MLB but Spikes, Rey Rey and the little animal will be long gone this guy is the choice he is a very good pass rusher and good against the run. He can step onto the field day one opposite of JP and created one of the best duo's in the NFL.
2nd Round
A) Mike Mickens CB Cincinnati (6-0 190)- Mike Mickens is 6-0 and 190 pounds, he is still a physical corner back who is not afraid to play tough against any wide receiver. But Mickens' cover abilities are among the best in the nation and he plays a lot strong than he looks.
Is this pick a surprise? I dont think so. We need a CB our secondary has played well minus a few games but this kid is big physical and could be on the field pretty quick. No safety cause i think Bell Hill and Culver can hold down the safety position. But Mickens and Allen could be a very good duo . he will start as a nickel but will work his way into the starting role at some time during the season.
B)Max Unger OT/OG/C Oregon (6-5 305)-Unger is a very versatile offensive line prospect from the University of Oregon. He has started every game since setting foot on the Oregon campus, starting his freshman and sophomore seasons at left tackle before switching to center for his junior season. He is listed as a tackle prospect by ESPN, but will likely be a better center in the NFL. He is not a road grading offensive lineman, but he does a good job of using his hands and gets in good position to make blocks.
Ok this may seem alittle early but with the brash of offensive linemen took last year and the turn around for most teams is due to better line play i see a ton more Ol going early this year as well and getting a guy like this now could be a great value. This guy can play guard or center and could challenge for a starting position. I think the Fins need depth at the line him and Thomas should battle for starting RG next season. and with the displeasure with Satele he may be a center who knows but i like this pick.
3rd Round
Terrance Taylor NT Michigan (6-0 320)- The University of Michigan's Terrance Taylor is a phenomenal athlete. Aside from being a top football recruit out of high school, Taylor was also a three time state power lifting champion in Michigan, and the undefeated heavyweight state wrestling champion as a senior. Taylor's training as a wrestler has helped his football tremendously, because of the sports focus on positioning, balance and technique. His massive frame has allowed him to eat up blockers during his collegiate career, even while playing the nose tackle in former coach Lloyd Carr's 3-4 defense.
Well here it is maybe alittle early to get a NT. But with his background in wrestling he has great use of his hands and very good at driving his legs and taking up multiple blockers. Extremely athletic some may argue he is slightly undersized but he uses that size to stay low and gets great leverage. Bad year at Michigan lets him fall to us in the third.
So there it is the first three rounds. let me know what you think
