Sign Isaac Sopoaga NT

Chris Long, Virginia
Height: 6-4. Weight: 284.
40 Time: 4.73.
Projected Round: Top 5 Pick.

Chris Long, who can play end in the 4-3 and possibly nose guard in the 3-4, had 57 tackles and five sacks in 2006. Son of former NFL star and current FOX analyst Howie Long.

Chris Williams, Vanderbilt
Height: 6-6. Weight: 315.
40 Time: 5.13.
Projected Round: 1-2.

Co-captain of Vanderbilt's football team, Chris Williams simply doesn't allow sacks. His 40 at his size is remarkable.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tennessee State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 182.
40 Time: 4.37.
Projected Round: 2.

A tall corner who runs a 4.3 is pretty rare. Getting one that picks off six passes in a season is like finding the Loch Ness Monster.

Caleb Campbell, SS, Army
Height: 6-2. Weight: 223.
40 Time: 4.47.
Projected Round: 3-4.

You have to love the 40 that comes with Caleb Campbell's size. Given his background, I think we can assume that he has a great work ethic.

Kendall Langford, Hampton
Height: 6-6. Weight: 294.
40 Time: 4.92.
Projected Round: 3-4.

Recorded eight sacks in 2006. Can play defensive end in a 3-4 as well

Brad Cottam, Tennessee
Height: 6-8. Weight: 270.
40 Time: 4.68.
Projected Round: 6.

A monstrous tight end with decent size, Brad Cottam could be the best blocker at his position in this class.

7.

Kerry Brown, Appalachian State
Height: 6-6. Weight: 310.
40 Time: 5.16.
Projected Round: 7.

Kerry Brown has played against low competition, but he was named to the All-Southern first team in 2006 for his services at left guard.

Sorry posted it wrong the first time lol

Last I checked, all signs were pointing towards Sopoaga staying in San Francisco . . . although I would love to have him. I like your picks. I think Campbell is solid, but that might be a bit high for him.

I love DRC and believe with time he could be a heck of a corner. Hes got size but is pretty Raw. My only problem with your mock is after the first 2 picks theres alot of questions. All small school guys and injury risks. I do like everyone you have listed but question the talent level they have played. DRC and Caleb Cambell may be a little high but all these players could become players just to much iffy picks for my taste

WHat the hell? Chris Long playing Nosetackle? I dont see that happening ever.

I think that's too high for Campbell (though he'd be interesting later on) and I'd be surprised if we don't nab a TE before the 6th round (Cottam would be a major development project), but overall I like this mock... especially the first pick!

Chris Long at nose guard?? what? Dorsey is undersized for NT....but Chris Long who weighs what? 50 lbs less than him isn't?right.

I don't agree with it, but the man did say 'possibly'. Chris is listed as 280 and Dorsey around 300/305 btw.

chris long cannot play NG in the NFL, point blank.

I wouldn't be against the pick, but it's not my personal favorite... anything along the Defensive front will satisfy me

At the very top I said to sign Isaac Sopoaga to play NT. Sorry it kinda crowded down on top of the picks.

Guys if you sign a NT in FA, Dorsey is a waste.

I think I'd rather another Olineman where you have Campbell, but that is me.
