New Monday night broadcast team starting 2006

The entire ESPN Sunday Night crew need to be drug in front of a firing line and shot. Joe and Paul are two of the most annoying announcers on the planet. In fact, the only one worse than Joe is Paul. Paul and Joe should die with gonorrhea and rot in hell.

Laces Out...

I have never heard of anyone ever say "giving cornerbacks too much time to adjust". Well I have in the sense of the guy was open and waited to long to throw him the ball. This was not the situation. This was just the quarterback had 6 seconds to throw the ball. Which is always a good situation. Unless, according to Thiesman, it is against the Patriots.

I honestly dont think you get the concept of Offense and Deffense so let me explain a simple fact for you. The Patriots Deffense (their cornerbacks) can not be on the field with the Offense (Brady) at the same time. He was not saying anything about the other teams Offense or Deffense, he was complimenting the Patriots all-around talent. Not saying anything about the two of them together as you yourself have said both compliments came on different drives.

Theisman definitely does blow as a commentator... just wont be the same without ol' Madden.

At least we won't have to hear Madden ride Favre's jock for 3 hours. McGuire was a close second in the Brett *** kissing department, and boy am I glad he's gone. Patrick was OK, he has called Marino the greatest QB he has ever seen on several of his broadcasts. As for Theismann, guy never bothered me for some reason.

I am rather happy with this announcement....even though Joe Theismann can be a pain in the *** at times, he is not as annoying as John Madden who only says Boom Bam over and over again. Madden actually said, "The team with the most points usually wins." I can't believe the stupid stuff that comes out of John's mouth....John also is in love with Brett Favre and Tom Brady and RARELY has anything good to say about the Phins. So long John...we still have John on Sunday Night football but I normally listen to the radio broadcast to tune John out.

Madden was a suck up to every big name player. Remember the Patriots game last year when he was kissing up to Tom the entire game until he though that interception when rushed by JT.

After that he was kissing JTs *** the rest of the game.

Actually your arguement is stupid, and you still havn't answered the question yet. :)

he was kissing the patriot's butts. Saying they could do no wrong.

I like what DR. Z said about the crew

MIKE PATRICK, PAUL MAGUIRE and JOE THEISMANN, ESPN -- Down a star from last year. A similar drop in '04 and they'll owe me half of one. listening to this trio is like: It's like sitting in a sports bar and trying to watch a game, and right near you are a bunch of noisy drunks. Hey, will you guys pipe down? I'm trying to watch a game. It's third-and-17. "There ARE no plays for third-and-17," Maguire says, and everybody agrees. "See, they just don't have any. There simply aren't any. No plays for third-and-17. They've never drawn up a play for third-and-17." OK, OK already. No plays for third-and-17. Mind if I watch the game? Why did I drop them a star? Because last year Theismann tried to at least add a semblance of sanity to the show, but now he's given up. First half of the Baltimore-Tennessee wild-card game. Theismann is comparing Chris Brown's running style with that of Eddie George. "Chris Brown is completely different from George." Then in the second half, "I see a lot of Eddie George in Brown," Maguire says. Then there's the usual shameful puffing of Ray Lewis. "Don't come this way again," and all that. Meanwhile Tennessee keeps running for big yardage. How about a word about a Titans O-linemen? Are you kidding? This is ESPN. Hype Central. Project! Have fun! Make noise! Just take it down to the other end of the bar, would you, please?

I fear that your good points are falling on deaf ears! No matter, good posting.

I don't think you get the concept of coverage and football. There is no situation where you give the coverage to adjust to the routes where that is a good thing. It was one of the most stupid things I have ever heard.

Ever hear of Zone Coverage? I guess not.

I swear to F-ing GOD this absolutely sucks beyond everything else that has ever sucked before. I LOATHE JOE THEISMAN. In fact I Loathe him so much I wish evil things on him. I can't stand that man. His analysis' are awful and his jokes make me want to sharpen pencils and jam them in my ears.

I'll never forget this line Joe Theisman said 2 years ago, "I think Jay Fiedler is a very good quarterback, in fact, I think he'll make the Pro Bowl this year."

Good God man, DIE DIE DIE!

I dont mind Joe at all. Madden needs to retire. Al Michaels is the best.

Theisman is an absolute putz. In my opininon there's only one good thing about him....when I was a kid growing up in the DC area he was such an arrogant loser that even at only 7 years old I couldn't root for the Redskins becuase of him. For some reason I took a liking to the Dolphins, then Dan came and my fan loyality has been cemented for twentysome years. So in some backwards fashion I have that idiot to thank for being a fan of the best team in the NFL. Regardless I still can't stand him.
