1: If a receiver goes up for the ball, and looks at the ball rather than the defender, the defender may not hit him or it is a personal foul, even if the receiver had the ball in his hands. At least it is this way when 'patriotic' teams are on offense.

2: Offensive tackles are now allowed to grab jersey, pull arms, and tackle defenders while trying to open up wholes or protect their QB. Well, at least it goes this way for the most patriotic team on earth.

3: Receivers on teams north of NYC and east of the Hudson river may push off, knock down, and move the hands of defenders when trying to catch a ball.

4) If a team that has never won a Superbowl opens its season on the road against a team that has won 3 or more Superbowls in the preceding 5 seasons, the visiting team is exempt from any penalty call on the opponent's first offensive play. This includes grabbing the facemask of the opposing QB, causing a fumble which results in a TD.

5) After such a play, the fans of the non-Superbowl winning team are allowed to ignore the most blatent non-call of the game, and to still claim that the officials cost their team a victory. This rule applies only when the opposing team has beaten their team in at least 11 of the last 12 meetings.

Whatever Pats fans. Your team get 80% of the calls going your way so whatever you say about a call going against the Pats means nothing. So many teams get screwed over by the Pats it's not even funny. =/

Did you just start watching football last week? Or are you just inherently football ignorant?

Since 1995 it has been a penalty (un-necessary roughness) to hit/tackle any player at the head. If defensive players were allowed to take head shots on receivers (with their hands, shoulders, helmets, big toes...etc) they would be carting receivers off the field in stretchers by the dozens every week.

Get a clue.
