If Mularkey goes, who could be the best OC from the current head coaches that are possibly going to be fired?

i thought you had breaking news with the hiring of a new OC, highlighted by all the "!!!!!" haha....anyways...id like to pull martz away from detroit if possible...

If Saban does indeed leave I wouldn't be surprised if Wayne makes Mularkey or Capers the head coach. He did the same stupid thing with Wannstedt.

I don't know what will piss me off more, Saban leaving or one of these two taking over.

difference with that being JJ requested he named his successor.

Capers IMO could be a good HC; he just ended up coaching 2 expansion teams 1(the Texans) having a dumb front office. (no not drafting Mario Williams, they made a lot of stupid moves in prior years).

Mularkey... not so much.

If MM does get the boot, I'd like to see us promote Jason Garrett or Charlie Braggett to OC.

Listening to the press conference, I hared Nick mention exactly what he needed to mention about where this team stands on O. The three things good consistent playoff teams have in common are QB/WR/RB. Now of the three things on that list, two for us are a must get....can anyone tell me what they are??? It's hard to win consistently with the talent we have on this team on O. If MM were the OC for the Colts or Pats does anyone think he wouldn't succeed with those teams?? Remember both those QB's are very effective at audibuling at the LOS, something we as an O haven't done since the Marino era. Stop blaming MM and start blaming the talent on this team.

I agree.

OMG! Mike Mularky does not know when to stick with what works. He consistantly takes this team sideways and not forward. Mularky just does not get it and beats himself more than the other team beats us. If Mike Mularky is still on this team by two weeks from now, I am going to write off next season already and expect Saban to be gone as well.

mularkey has to go for sure...linehan made this offense work..everyone saw the improvements made during the course of last yr...and gus isnt any better than harrington, only diff is that gus can actually throw the ball deep with some accuracy unlike harrington...we are weak at OC and on the talent level..but you need an OC who can adapt to what the current teams strengths and weaknesses are and mularkey does not do that..mularkey has been coaching for so long in the nfl and he still cant call a decent game..that says a lot...

Most of the Mularkey supporters (athletic & otherwise) defend Mad Mike because he has to deal with lousy quarterbacking. But there were so many games this year that, if we would have stuck with the run, things might be different. Dink & Dunk Mike doesn't get it. The ideal offense features a vertical passing attack and a hard charging running game. When you totally depend on a short, passing game (we did) the secondary cheats up AND NO ONE GETS OPEN BECAUSE OF PREDICTABILITY. The running game fails because the entire defense is around the line of scrimmage creating blocking mismatches. If Mularkey doesn't get it after all this years in the league, he ain't gonna get it now!

After I heard the PC I also think Mularkey will be gone and they should go after Denny Green.
