Not hating on Henne cause I really want us to make the playoffs and I really think our hopes are literally in his hands and so are many jobs. A lot of people seem to think that a new offense means a better Chad Henne and Im not sure if that is necessarily true. On the contrary, with the short amount of time Henne has had to practice in the new offense, I am worried. It's difficult to learn an entire new offense in that short amount of time. Henne had three years to learn Hennings offense and even if Hennings offense sucked, Henne still didnt improve.

A lot of other QB's struggled early in their careers when switching to a new offense and I feel Henne will be the same. I'm hoping Henne improves drastically but I just wouldnt be surprised if he has a similar season as last season. Anyone else worried about Henne learning a new offense in such a short time? Most the time switching to a new offense is a bad thing for a young QB. But I do agree that any offense is better than hennings offense.

A new OC doesn't account for Henne's poor decision making, terrible accuracy and lack of leadership.

If you don't think Chad Henne can win a superbowl, then you're just not a real Dolphins fan. Go root for the Patriots

The piss poor OC didn't help him any. I honestly don't understand you. You don't even want Henne to succeed just so you can be right.

Haha. I don't want what I can't have.
Case in point. Do I believe in Henne? No. Do I want him to succeed and prove me wrong? Yes. This is how every true Dolphin fan should feel. You should want Henne to succeed because if he succeeds the team will succeed.

I just signed up for game rewind at NFL.com and watched a few games from last year.

One thing really jumped out at me.

Henne is bad. Henne is really really really baaaaaaaaaaaad!

He sucks!

Henne is an awful QB.

Henne has no business being in the NFL even as a number 3.

I was getting sucked into the manic new optimism that comes with a new year but after a dose of reality I've returned to sanity. Henne stinks!

I am excited to watch this defense every week though. If these guys stay healthy, they will win some games on their own.

Well no ****. I would like to whoever is the QB in Miami succeed but Henne fails to do this over and over.

It depends on how different the offenses are. I think QBs struggle more with different terminology than diferent schemes: see what's happening to Hasselbeck in Tennessee.

Anyway, yeah, there'll be an adjustment period. He should be his erratic self for at least a couple of games into the season... we should probably wait until the end to judge his performance.

No they're not. Even if Henne has 1 good game that doesn't mean anything. The guy is inconsistent. He could crush the Pats and then get smoked by the Bills. He just isn't very good.

If you need until the end of the season to figure it out so be it.

But JCane will have it tabbed in no time.

seriously, give it a rest guys. let the kid get a couple games in before you start crying the year away.

This the first thing I have seen you post that I agree with. What I would like to see though, is acknowledgment that he has "rough" skills that can develop. You can't teach the arm strength, or his size. I know he has had some awful games, but he has also had some very good games as well, where has has beat the other team...not gotten lucky. To me, that says there is hope and potential for some development. Will it happen? I don't know, and neither do you. Either way, he is the qb this year. He isn't my first choice, or even in my top 15, but I hope he changes that. You can write "Henne sucks" 20k times and it will accomplish nothing except annoy others that are trying to share thoughts, read team news, or engage in productive conversation.

Good arm strength and size? He still has ****ty accuracy, locks on to receivers, poor decisions with the ball... Those aren't easy fixes. He is the same Chad Henne that he was at Michigan.
