In Case You Dont Know, The Saints Have NEVER Gone Undefeated In The Preseason! Ever! :hitit:

Never have heard that one. But it's completely possible that record will stay intact tonight. Brees is scheduled to play a series. If his LT (third string backup Jermon Bushrod) struggles Payton will pull Brees quickly (like he did last week but not because of Bushrod but because Brees went through all scripted plays in litttle over a over a quarter). Bushrod's looked good against the Texans Mario Williams and Raiders DEs but he is a work in progress.

Look for Mark Brunell to play whatever part of the first half Brees doesn't. I suspect the Dolphins "not allowing a passing TD" preseason will be shattered - the old man Brunell has looked good with the first teamers. Joey Harrington will probably get a long look tonight too. Payton's trying to decide whether to keep Harrington as the team's third QB.

Here's to no injuries for either team........

I actually hope we lose tonight. Its the preseason and usually the bad teams are the ones who go 4-0 in the preseason, like the lions last year. I just want to see our players play well and win or lose im excited about the season.

I really wish this had been the third preseason game for the Saints. As you well know the Phins Defense is good. The Saints have destroyed their preseason competition BUT those teams were the Bengals, Texans, and Raiduhs (not exactly a list of future '09 playoff teams). I think being tested against a good team in the Dolphins would've done them a world of good. I'm personally concerned that the lack of a real preseason challenge is going to lead to overconfidence with the Saints.

Our pass defense WILL be good but it's going to take some time. The rookies are going to make mistakes they all do. We are going to play lights out right away.

Don't underestimate the Texans.
