New outline line backer coach Tyrone McKenzie's drills

They could learn a few things off this bloke, whenever possible stays low and tackles the around the hips

Best thing about watching that clip, Zach Thomas makes the tackle/play and goes back to the huddle unlike these players today where they all need to show off and tell the whole world that they just made a tackle.

A-****ing-men.

Celebrations on EVERY play is getting a bit tired.

Or worse put their arms on someones shoulders who made a tackle to say to the world I was part of it.
Leave your blo0dy ego in the change room and just do your job.

Interesting Ray Lewis was quick to acknowledge Zach, pity the HOF hasn't yet.

Follow the hips.
Doesn't matter what the head, arms or legs do, the hips signal if he is going left, right and they are the last major body part to move.
Also attacks the centre of gravity.

I agree, but, that's one of those things easier to say than do. Even if the defender is watching the hips, a number of NFL RBs/WRs are so quick, even knowing which way the hips are going is often too late.
Again, you're right, and the concept needs to be taught to improve effectiveness, but it seems 'follow the hips' makes it sound easy

I don't get a Defense all running to the endzone after a turnover. Not a return for 6 but just a turnover! Sorry but celebrating like that when you've not scored is lame to me. Not sure who started that trend but it's a bit too much.
