Since we dont know which teams abouve us will draft a qb lets look at some more options. what about drafting qb's Troy Smith , Zach Taylor, and Drew Tate ? all have a more accurate throws then Stanton and are more moblie then him.
Zach Taylor is a very good qb and so is Drew Tate and Troy Smith may all be safer picks for us. If we cant get Bradey Quinn then i insist on on these other guys but my problem is ,where are these guys expected to be when we draft ? I dont feel that stanton is our best option at qb because he doesnt have a accurate arm nor is he mobile.
I WANT wide receivers Jarrett and Woods really bad its making me insane and the reasons i want these two wide receivers is that both guys would help us to have a tought compitiion in camp. plus if we used chambers as return man it would help our special teams as well as add depth . plus with the injury bug this would be like having insurance.
 
Sorry, we already have a 2nd and 3rd string QB. If we even are going to look at a QB, it needs to be in the 1st or 2nd round. Anything after that is going to be a career backup at best. If we don't get a top rated QB that can be our future franchise QB, then get other quality positions filled and look at the QB possibly next year in the first/second.

Yup just like Tom Brady. A career back-up Maybe we should get someone who has Ryan Leaf qualities in the first. Enough of my sarcasm. There are no guaranties in the draft. Who would have thought Zach Thomas would lead the league in tackles almost every year since he came into the league. Guess what if everyone new that he would have went top 3 his draft year.
 
I'd rather have Stanton over those guys if Quinn wasn't there with our first pick.

Could not agree more. Do not draft a backup QB.

Wow, you are using examples that are the exceptions rather than the rule. Perhaps Randy and Cam should invert their draft board and use the 1st round pick on a player with a 7th rd grade. :lol:

I know, I'm sorry I like being on a pedastal. It rarely eve happens. I need to take my chances when I can. He certainly would have been top 10, not 5th round.

He was a concesus all american for 2 straight years I think. It reall surprises me how long he lasted, even with his size.

Yes, I think so, to me if we knew what kind of players all these guys and Zach were, Zach would indeed be top 3. Seems yet again Dolphin fan forgets or does not know how big a talent Zach really is, and disrespects him. :rolleyes:

T.Brady always seems to get mentioned, but he's been the exception not the rule in the past 8-10 years. Most teams have done a much better evaluating talent over the past several years and gems (especially at QB spot) don't usually slide down past the 2nd round (with the rare exception). My point was that odds are extremely high that the guys mentioned will never be more than career back ups. We've settled at the QB spot for far too many years and eventually we will need to take one in the first or high second round. And if we're not going to pick someone there, draft someone who might be the next Zach or stud lineman in the later rounds rather than a QB who might not even make the roster.

so let me get this straight you guys dont think troy smith is a starting nfl qb ? i think he could be another daunte culpepper .
