I have seen in so many posts how our O-line one of the worst in the league. Without mentioning last year can you please explain why?

We have given up the fewest sacks in the league and been in the most 3rd and long situations.

Take away Ronnies runs and we are averaging 4.3 yard per carry, which is pretty good.

Morris said the line seemed to be opening up holes for him just fine and he has 6.2 yards per carry.

Coach saban says ronnie missed some chances with wholes that were created by the O-line.

Last year yes, our O-Line played miserably, but our entire offense had no focus and no part of it seemed to function well.

So I ask again what have you seen THIS season that tells you we have a bad offensive line?

Sometimes perception is reality. Not a nice thing, but there it is.

Sometimes it is not reality. Sometimes people's perceptions are skewed.

what does that mean in terms of the question I asked?

so the line is playing well, but because they are perceived as being bad for no real reason then they are bad?

No it means ppl will think what they want to think even if that opinion is ignorant.

I have seen huge improvement in the OL, but if you mention that around here you have certain ppl who will insult you and say you don't know anything about football if you mention anything like that. In short that gets old.

You have not faced a dominate D-line yet. Over the next 4 weeks you get CAR, (bye), BUF and TB. If you come out of that stretch and are still in the top 10 for sacks allowed you should send BIG thank you cards to your entire o-line.

It didn't matter who we were playing last year. They were getting a lot of sacks on us, period. There has been a serious improvement in this OL.

There's been an improvement, I wouldn't call it "serious" yet. The fewest sacks in the league stat is bunk and won't last, but it does also show improvement in pass protection.

I haven't noticed much if any improvement in run blocking, however...and I don't need stats to tell me whether there has been improvement in the run blocking or pass blocking. Slight improvement in run blocking, more moderate improvement in pass protection...but that still makes us a bottom-third OL in the league IMO.

I hope you are right but after 2 games the IMPROVEMENT has not been seen yet granted they have allowed a only a few sacks but they have not opened alot of running lanes at all ....

they have been inconsistant in running lanes. There has been some improvement it is just people aren't really seeing it. There is no way last year Miami would get a third and two on a straight run. On sunday they did that.

I am not saying they are all world or even average. However to say they are not improved over last year is just plain wrong.

Look Seth, you need to spend less time on here and more time in the gym and in the film room. Got it?

You are negative most of the time. The stat you refer to is not "bunk". It is even more impressive when you factor in the fact that the Broncos and to some degree the Jets were crowding the line of scrimmage and blitzing quite a bit.
