I've been told this supremely confident young coach is going to deliver a message to his players verbally and by his actions during training camp that everyone must sell out or they won't be part of this team.

Armando is back from vacation....

I think Adam Gase, who comes with a reputation as an offense wiz, is going to prove to be a royal pain in the butt ... for the defensive minded coaches of the AFC East -- Buffalo's Rex Ryan, New York's Todd Bowles, and New England's Bill Belichick.

Training camp is a time when new guys -- and the Dolphins have 46 of them -- must bond with the coaches and their new teammates.

Is this correct? 46 new players? That seems like a lot. WOW.

There are those within the organization that see Jordan for his potential and athletic abilities if all goes well. But there are those who have taken a much more dim view of Jordan, seeing him as someone who has as many sacks (3) as drug suspensions (3) since he was drafted with the third overall selection in 2013.

So a hard decision by the team is coming even if Jordan is activated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Couldn't agree more with those statements.

For a team that's been over .500 only twice since 2004...that's very ambitious...some might even say unrealistic.

If Gase is the real deal, 9-7 might actually be kind of conservative, because the talent is there.

Before Shula was forced out, winning 9 games was considered an unsuccessful season. even with JJ and The Wanny Stashe, nobody was excited with just 9 wins.

Let's just see who Gase really is, and go from there.

Who is this "group" that has studied what Jordan put on tape a millennium ago?

the latter group simply has not been convinced by anything Jordan put on tape during his time active that would merit giving him any money, much less a guaranteed bonus.

Not saying he won't be cut or traded, just don't believe w all the new coaches anyone has invested too much time in studying tape from 2014 on the guy.

"The talent is there" are things only said in July/August.
Here are the facts:
*Unproven yet capable Quarterback
*Huge Health Questions at RB
*Can WRs make big plays downfield or significant YAC
*Can O-Line stay healthy
*Anyone other than Suh make an impact on DL
*Who's playing LB other than Kiko Alonso
*Is Byron Maxwell a shutdown corner

I would say for a 9-7 season, most of those would need to be 100% answered and executed. After this season we get to see how Gase adjusts. I'd be happy with 6-7 wins. Anything above that would make my heart melt. That being said, I've never been more excited about a team in quite some time.

jets did it last yr 10-6 so why not dolphins.

Well the Jets have had 6 winning seasons to our 2 since 2004. They also had the easiest schedule in football last year (tied with the Carolina Panthers). They also made a number of trades for players that were productive and not injured, coming off of injury or coming off a bad season.

Not going to happen. Word is that Dallas has significantly improved his physical strength (he needed to) and is set to compete hard.

We also have a lot more competition than last year. If our starting lineup is Albert, Tunsil, Pouncey, Turner and James, that only leaves probably 2 or 3 spots for backups. With the likes of Urbick and Bushrod, I don't see Thomas beating either one of them out. The only way Thomas makes the team is if they keep 8 OL and he beats out Jamil Douglas, but that's not likely to happen.
