New Snippet on Lance Schulters!!

Schulters is a proven playmaker. As recently as 2002, he posted six interceptions. He has gone 22 straight games without an interception but is still regarded as a top-flight safety, assuming he has recovered from his '04 foot injury. He has two seasons with 6 interceptions and has 15 in 76 starts. He also has 5 1/2 career sacks.

Please excuse my ignorance....but how good is this guy?

I never saw him play in Tenn., but in SF he was a stud. His play there was what made him coveted as a FA and SF couldn't afford to keep him.

 Um, you must be talking about the other Lance Schulters.

Unless you are confusing him with Mike Rumph.

U know what, I'm trying to think that this year we will have a 500. record..so that way it will be worth saving some money now and buying Directv+Nfl sunday ticket only next season. But damn, Saban's doing all to put us in contender position this freakin year.!!:goof:
If we sign Schulters plus Law, I'll just call and say: Good morning, I need directv.

yea cause the only lance schulters i know played like a pro bowler when he was at SF...so you got the wrong guy :D

As much as I would love this signing, I too don't believe this article says much more than we know. They think he's close to signing because he met with us? He's got other meetings to go. I'm not saying it's not gonna happen, i'd just like a little more concrete source, like his agent or someone saying that it's CLOSE or something.. come on Nick and Randy, let's get this guy signed, sealed, and delivered.

This from another thread...

The team has also talked to FS Lance Schulters about a possible deal and Schulters would like to play for the Dolphins, if possible. He may have caught an opportunity when Travares Tillman injured his knee in minicamp. Tillman is expected to be ready for training camp, but Schulters is a vastly more experienced player and would give the Dolphins a great fallback position.
