Ronnie Brown had a solid if not spectacular opening game. He had 22 carries for 57 yards against a solid defense who came in with the idea if they could stop our run then they had us beat.
57 yards rank 24th overall in the league which is solid for a rook. However 2.6 yards per carry is not a great stat. We have another runner who got a whopping 61 yards per carry. Some little known RB named Chris Chambers ran one time for 61 yards. He only got one carry. If we would have just gave it to him 10 times we would have had 610 yards in rushing alone. Even if his ypc dropped all the way to just 50 ypc he would have still had 500 yards rushing on just 10 carries.
I think someone needs to explain to coach Saban this unknown RB needs to get the starting nod this week vs the NY gliders. :D

I really feel people need to stop wasting everyones time with threads like this. :shakeno: :shakeno:

Well its obvious hes joking since hes making fun of his own Thread.

Break him down by halfs to look at his improvement. Didn't get to watch the game but in the second half he was doing much better. If I remember correctly he had 9 carries for 8 yards and the second half he had 13 carries for 50 yards which is close to 4 yards a carry. For his first game with only 1 preseason game he did great. Also made a hell of a catch on a bad throw according to Joe Rose, again heard it didn't see it. I have no worries about Ronnie Brown and look forward to seeing him in a Fins uni for a long time.

Ronnie's debut was NOT spectacular, at least that part it accurate. Maybe he'll get his feet under him better next week. When this boy gets going AND we get Ricky back, whooaaa :0

chambers cant start at rb but he will pull off a big reverse once in a while due to his speed.

OK, folks. I see some of you haven't seen the humor, but KT is being silly.

Ronnie did fine. I am not too worrie.d I think he will have an even better day next week against the Jets who looked like they couldn't stop anybody running yesterday.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Welker line up at RB at some point during the season and take a handoff. Linehan seems to be creative and uses his personnel in different ways, moves guys around, etc. That's a Good Thing.

THANKYOU !!! I was starting to wonder if anyone was gonna notice it was HUMOR !!! :D

i like the idea that way we dont have worry about chambers dropping so many passes. Plus he is good at running with the ball when he has it in his hands. Then we could move ronnie to receiver because he has good hands. That would be a great move!!! Also why not move Booker to quarterback. I remember he had some passes last year. We would then have a michael vick type quarterback. Lastly I think it is very important that we get our premier offensive lineman Todd Perry. That guy was a definate all pro. He just was not in the right situation. We should also try getting Tim Ruddy he would add some great veteran leadership to this offensive line. If we do all these moves then we will definately be superbowl winners!!! Im certain on that! :)
