I believe Miami will focus on one of the "second tier" quarterbacks, such as Beck, Edwards, or Kolb. I really believe they would like to stay at 9 or drop a few spots and get another pick. I actually believe that Mueller likes Willis. Just a hunch. I don't think Okoye or Branch are the guys like so many experts. A wildcard situation would be dropping to take a guy like Staley, but I wonder about their interest in Brown.
The wr core is so deep that Miami will get one later. The guard group is deep to, but the projected 2nd round guys are pretty special (Blaylock, Sears).
Unlike many of the mocks on this board, I expect the second tier of quarterbacks to go earlier than expected. I see Miami using a second round pick on a quarterback. I also see them drafting at least 2 OL in the first four rounds. And with the roster not as deep on the offensive side I see Miami being extremely aggressive on undrafted rookie free agent offensive linemen.
I like Brady Quinn, but I don't see Miami giving up more than a pick to get to him. If Peterson falls to Miami that could be very interesting in terms of trading down or taking him. The first ten picks have a lot of intrigue this year and will make for a great first round draft. But I actually get more excited about the later rounds.
I will refrain right now from projecting a mock draft. I would love to get a guy like Blaylock or Sears, a wr like Rice from South Carolina or Smith from USC. I would like a linebacker with rushing capability. And Leonard is a guy I like a lot. Great and critical draft for Miami.
