New thought...Derek Hagan as a Return Man???

Does anyone think that Derek Hagan can make a good punt/kick returner? I really like Wes Welker, so dont get me wrong...but lots of people are saying he isnt showing much as a receiver...so what if we used him as a returner? Even Jason Allen can make a good return man, but he is an obvious starter soon enough.
 
The only thing that concerns me about Hagan, he has to make sure he holds on to the ball. Welker is yes slower, but he is sure handed.:wink:
 
No Hagan cannot be a good return man. He doesn't have the lateral quickness required of a punt returner and is not much faster, if at all, than Welker so returning kickoffs is out of the question.
 
dont think a dude we drafted in round three schould be used as cannon fodder on special teams. Plus i think hagen will step up this year now that hes had a year to get his legs under him with his numbers in college he showed he is very sure handed.
 
we need marcus vick and chris chambers back there returning kicks.

it works out for me in madden!

everyone remember CC's rookie year? he did great on returns.
 
im sure marcus vick could be a good return man...after all, he runs from cops after horsing around with 17 year old girls at parties:D

hagan wouldnt break one allen would be better but i think we need to look in free agency
 
Hagan isnt quick enough to return kicks. Maybe Kelly Cambpell is still a possibility. He is fast. I wouldnt mind seeing what Vick could do back there either. The only thing that would scare me about Vick is we havent seen anything from him. He could be a rampant fumbler

Yeah I agree with you completely. Is Campbell still on the team/coming back next year? If so, he should definitely get a shot considering how fast he is. Vick definitely has the right combination of athleticism and a relatively small frame you look for in returners, so he should at least get an opportunity. Some people here seem to be down on Hagan for some reason, but he actually had a decent rookie season and hopefully should improve upon his numbers next year.

Last I heard Satan released Campbell last season so I think he is a FA and free to sign with whomever, although I think if we want him we can have 1st crack at him.
 
how about we trade Mularkey/Harrington/Bennie Anderson/Travis Minor/Jeff Zgonina/Dan Wilkinson/Tavares Tillman/and hell...Olindo Mare and Donnie Spragan....for DEVIN HESTER:tongue:

Hagan only had 21 receptions for 200 yards. But with his limited action and the anemic offense of ours it would be hard for any rookie to get balls. I think he will be good for us. He just needs to work on his hands and drops

I dont think the bears are stupid enough to do that We would totally be ripping them off :D
 
welker is a good return man but he still hasnt returned one for a touchdown.
hagan showed he could play in (college) maybe he can be a good back up or our second wideout.
jason allen i dont know i didnt see him all year long he better be able to start next year i dont want to think we wasted a 1st round draft pick for a guy that cant start in a no big name secondary
we nee to draft a return man may be in the second or third round

Welker returned 1 against baltimore in 2004. It was the first dolphins kick returned for a TD in 13 years (if im not mistaken) It was in the third with 11 minutes remaining in the quarter
