If looking at the correct lawyer named Ted Wells appointed by Goddell to investigate the Dolphins then I actually have my first concern. Ted Wells is a very well respected attorney who just so happens to have gone to school at Harvard Law. Yep, the same Harvard as C Gus Martin, Jonathan's dad. Yes, they were there at the same time. Wells is 5 years older and graduated his JD in 1976. Martin attended 1973-1978.

So yea, turn up your league hates the Fins theories now because they have teeth.

I highly doubt their shared alma mater will be a factor in this investigation.

I don't think Ross would have agreed to Wells to be the independent investigator if he felt the man would be biased.

you would think they could avoid something this simple right? I mean how about not hiring a lawyer that was at the same law school at the same time as one of Martin's parents...just avoids conspiracy theories like this that I absolutely hate on principle

wait...did Ross have a say who the investigator would be? Doubt the league allowed him final approval

If the media would do its job, we would find out if there was a connection.

I find it very hard to believe that there was no back and forth before the investigator was selected.

I also don't think it's in the NFL's best interest here for the entire Dolphins organization to go down in flames. They want this to stay between Richie and Jonathan.

Sorry, I am not buying the conspiracy theory on this one.

Lawyers are very competitive people and money talks, this IMO will have no bearing on this investigation

oh trust me neither am I...I just hate that they apparently didn't even consider this might be a conflict of interest...there are plenty of lawyers with no ties to Harvard they could have chosen...just eliminate it as a possible talking point
