New week, same feeling

Each week, I've been disgusted on Sundays and Mondays, only to start to feel optimistic around Monday evening or Tuesday morning. I know everyone will jump in here and yell about how bad we looked and I'm aware of that. But the thing I look at is Daunte. He looked better last week and I honestly believe if we can just get that damn offensive line fixed we can be a very good football team.

I know, I know, we have been enept and what not but please don't come in here bashing. I'm aware of the situation and don't need to be told. And I'm not making any predictions, but IF we can beat New England, we are right back in this thing. Again, if we just find a way to win, how big would that be. Basically all I'm asking is give us one more week before you throw in the towel. If we lose this week, then we are probably finished.

As dark as it may seem, a turn around isn't impossible. It's not likely, but a win in New England would certainly be that U-turn. Just keep the faith for at least another week please!
 
Nice post man. I just hope the O-Line can give us some protection out there. In New England, hostile crowd, our guys need to be fired up. Anything is possible, keep the faith.

That's right, any given sunday, just like last week. Now, let's hope it falls our way this week. Maroney is a tough kid, hope he likes Zach, because he will be meeting him alot.
 
It's nice that your optomistic but fact of the matter is the line isn't going to do any better until we can stop the blitz. The only way to stop the blitz is to make em pay and Daunte is just not capable of that, when they blitz he seems to panic and lose all track of whats going on. Why do you think every team we have played is blitzing us so hard? Because the O-Line sucks? No, they blitz because Daunte cant get rid of the ball and until he starts they will continue to blitz and everyone will continue to blame the O-Line but it's just as much Daunte's job to make big plays on those blitzes so they stop doing it. Maybe if Daunte could read a defense he could take advantage of the blitzes but he can't. It wasn't so obvious previously because he was very mobile in Minnesota and he could scramble to buy time and hit the open guy now that he can't scramble and can't read defenses he's essentially screwed and every team in the NFL knows it and thats why every team in the NFL is going to blitz the hell out of us for the rest of the season until either Daunte gets it togethor and makes em pay for it or he gets benched and we put in a QB that can get rid of the ball.
 
i dont care, i still watch the game, if we lose, we lose at least some of you have seen the phins win a championship, i havent so i have not missed anything, so i can wait, i have patience

IcePhin and John Beilo, you guys are right. I still believe this team still has loads of talent and just needs a spark (a win @ NE.) And yeah, when NE drafted Maroney, I litterally said "oh ****!" He is a player.

Bulehaze, I totally disagree. It's not Daunte's fault. It's the Oline and play call. If we know we are going to get blitzed, then why not just send the slot right over the middle to sit down? It's all the play calling and Oline man, Daunte doesn't really have any options.
 
chambers needs to step up. he showed some damn emotion last game, maybe this is the week he goes off. our offense needs a big play. all we need is one big play early to get the ball rolling. i still have faith in our squad. ill have faith until they are mathmatically eliminated

I am the same age of you and have been through the pain and suffering the past 12 years and the EXTREME suffering these last 5 years. However, I still love watching the Fins, but I'm not content with that. I want W's and at least playoff games. Nothing is better than playoff football and I just want to have that oppertunity again. It's been 4 1/4 very tough seasons.

Hell yeah John! If our OL can get any time, Chambers will start putting up some numbers. Hopefully we can take our late sucess against Houston into New England and roll through the rest of the year. GO FINS!:dolphins:
 
our biggest problem this week is going to be our mathcup with graham and watson. they killed uslast year, we dont have a lb to matchup with ben watson. i hope we dont even try it. i imagine were gonna be pressuring them like teams pressure us especially with there wide recievers. hopefully the secondary holds up.

yeah i know i would love to see the playoffs again, but the off season problems were not adressed properly

daunte was a great pickup

but getting a patchwork oline and having a week secondary doesnt help

but the criminal offense was getting mularkey, i was not happy when we got him, i told my boss that day it was a mistake

i still think we can turn it around, last year looked bad also but we got it turned around

and we can still do it

There you go, that's what it's all about. Watching our guys play. Yeah, were not 4-0, maybe this year isn't ours. But, it will be real soon.

I seriously pray everyday that you're right. Man you guys have no idea how badly I want to see us just in the AFC Championship game.
