It is impossible to deny Tannehill had a horrendous game. The offense as a whole was horrendous to watch. But I'm beyond frustrated how Tannehill's athleticism is not put in use. There were mentions in training camp practice reports and even seen a little in preseason of zone reads where Tanny kept the ball and used his legs. Hell we saw him use his legs last year on rare occasions and results were very positive. No one is asking for pure option based offense but will it hurt to utilize the talent you have and try it a few times a game. Andy Reid dialed in specific plays for Alex Smith to run on. Heck as soon as Teddy Bridgewater entered the game yesterday, Norv Turner took note and called for a qb keeper. When will they utilize Tanny the same way. Aside from moving the chains, I do think it will only improve his confidence on drives. And if the argument against is to protect him against big hits, well then we've seen keeping him in the pocket has done wonders on keeping his jersey clean. C'mon already!
Also, where the hell is Charles Clay in this offense? Lazor seems to be bent on a redemption season for Mike Wallace and is toiling away one our offense's best weapons period. This is just another verison of Sherman's stubbornness all over again.
