Bernie Miklasz a very credible writer/columnist here in St. Louis just reported that Linehan was very impresive in his interview with the Rams brass and is very much in the hunt for the job.
He described Ron Rivera's interview as "solid"

Well then that contradicts the report early on Fox where Jay Glazer said the Rams would be in New York tomorrow to interview the Giants D-Coordinator and that they were NOT impressed or overly excited with any of the people they had interviewed thus far.. He also reported that the Texans also have yet to have their socks blown off by anyone and something different about the Texans interviews is that they are having each person that interviews sit down with them and breaking down tape of Reggie Bush.... Linehan's name doesn't seem to be in the running there anymore either..

The talk I've been hearing sounds like Rivera is going to get it. Saying the Rams were very impressed with him.

I dont think Linehan is going anywheres. I think if he does though, Nick already has people in mind to take his spot.

I just heard an hour ago (maybe you guys already know) that Minnesota has their coach picked. I can't remember his name, but it's not Linehan. That was good news for us. I actually thought that was the biggest possibility of him leaving. Heard it on the Fox telecast of NYG vs. Carolina.

You guys can think what you want but Bernie Miklasz is 100 times closer to this situation than Jay Glazer. Miklasz is the local columnist had is very close to the team.

Minnesota hired Brad Childress on Friday to be their coach.

As for Linehan, I have no doubt that he impressed the Rams during their interview. I still don't think he will get the job. I would REALLY be surprised if he got a head coaching job this year. I think he is just setting himself up to get a job next offseason or even the 2008 offseason.

Linehan will be quite lucky to keep his job in Miami let alone be a head coach if the reports about Saban needing to get more involved in the offense were true.

There may be alot more to that report as "who" decided to move Linehan from the booth to the sideline during the season?

I'm not arguing the fact, but, I would bet against Linehan becoming the Rams coach, or anyones coach this season for that matter..

Hopefully he does get one. His impression of Gus is unique to say the least.
I thought his O was supposed to be innovative and explosive?

I think Rivera gets the job in St. Louis and Linehan will not leave us this year!
