News on QBs and Big Ears!!

What some phinfans posted last year has nothing to do with my post. You are inconsistent as well. First you say Fiedler didn't fit Norv's system, then you say Norv was vetoed by Wanny, intimating Norv couldn't properly install his offense. Which was it?

Also, Jay didn't fit Norv's system because he had no arm and made poor decisions, i.e., he wasn't very good. As for the WCO offense being a better fit, Jay's most horrific intros were on short wobblers. Finally, don't be surprised if Martin hits the wall, and there will be no Jordan to spell him either.
:lol2:

Did anyone notice this in the article:

"A source close to USC defensive tackle Manuel Wright – the top talent in next month's supplemental draft – said Wright has been given a guarantee by an undisclosed AFC team that he will be selected in the third round. Speculation has it that the team is either Cincinnati or Miami. "

hence the reason Wanny signed him.. under the illusion that he could play...an illusion that was quickly shattered when he took his first snap in miami...his qb rating was probably about .5 im not even going to bother to look them up.
Anyone watching Lucas knew he was being hidden behind Cutis and Keyshawn. Key made him look like an NFL QB, we won w/ Crtis, Key and a good D. Ray wasn't the reason we won and I was laughing when you guys signed him. There was a reason just mos after he had that good run that we drafted Chad.

both, which is why when you say it's not fair to judge AJ because he was in a bad situation, the same can be said about Fiedler. Yes, he was the favorite of a idiot HC but that doesn't mean he was in a situation to succeed.

Norv made RW run because Fiedler couldn't throw deep. I know that. But why get a OC that cannot use the abilities of his qb and even if he did try,Wanny was HC who would over ride any of Norv's attempts to put JF in a better situation.

Look , I've said it before and I'll say it again, JF is nothing more than a back-up qb, but he could be a decent one put in the right situation. I think he's better off w/ the jets than w/ the fins.

ANd I think that the Dolphins are better off with a bowl of jello, which might actually start if Miami signs one.

I agree w/ your point but it was definitely possible to win w/ Ray especially since Ricky was amazing that year. You didn't have a Keyshawn but you had Ricky and Ricky '02 was better than Curtis '99.

But you guys have made it sound like w/ the "great" Ricky and that "great" D that anyone could win games which has proven to be false.

anyone but Ray "Lose the game by himself" Lucas

If the Dolphins had Kelly Holcomb, Trent Dilfer, Craig Krenzel, Johnathon Quinn, or any other crappy but not as crappy as Lucas quarterback they would of won.

we would have been better of with a direct snap to Ricky than letting Ray touch the ball...we needed a Trent Dilfer type someone who didnt make mistakes we didnt need Peyton...Ray played like he was on the other teams payroll doesnt matter how good the team is... the 85 bears couldnt have won with that QB play.

I didn't see every Lucas game and I know he was bad in a few but the Jets Sun Night game he was not bad at all. Maybe if the D didn't give up a 50 yd bomb to Coles from the shadow of the Jets EZ to set up the GW FG then you might have won.

So that has nothing to do with Fiedler then

Sure it does, when Jay didn't play you lost more than you won and when jay did play you won alot more than you lost.
