NEWS ricky is coming back

If Ricky ever plays for us again, it won't be for long. We've got our RB. Saban would merely be showcasing Ricky to other teams.
With all due respect Mr. Mod, I dont agree. RW has no value to other teams right now. They see him how we see him; as a possible problem player who has great ability but whos passion for football is in question.

The best thing we can do is let him come in and re-establish himself as a premier RB even if we only give him 10-15 carries apiece with Ronnie. In addition you need to consider that Ronnie is already known as an unselfish player who could form and incredible 1-2 punch with Ricky.

he has great value and that is forming the second half of the one two punch of our running attack.

If he's definitely made the commitment to come back then why is he in India? I know he can't rejoin the team until July, but I would think he would be down here getting in shape. The guy needs to puton some serious weight and get into shape. I'm a little disturbed if this is true because I was hoping once Ricky decided to return he would be totally committed. Being in India and not getting in shape is not an indication of commitment.

Something about this doesn't make sense. Dan LeBatard is Ricky's friend; he said that Ricky will be in a Dolphins uniform next year (on ESPN last week) but added that he hasn't spoken to Ricky and that Saban only talked to him once before he headed to India. If Ricky decided to come back, wouldn't he have talked to Saban since then?

i believe it but dont think we should trade him only on the basis that we would definely not get adequete compensation for him but righfullys o that we wouldnt. what im saying is that he would serve us beetter splitting time with ronny and ronny is so versatile. wait thats y nick got ronny and was saying hes so versatile because he gunna use him at other spots when rickys in it makes sense now.

This is great news for all finfans...Bring back Ricky!!!

Yeah I agree. I don't know why people say Ricky will be traded. He doesn't have to be a "back-up" and he doesn't have to be a starter. Don't forget, Ronnie Brown split time in college too. Nick thinks 2 is better than 1, and I do too. Ricky and Ronnie, best duo in the league.

That has a great ring to it

Im not sure whether Saban can announce whether RW is coming back until july.

Every post in this thread is wrong except for the dude who said ill believe it when I see it.

RW isnt suspended for but 4 games of 2005. The only thing Mr Edelstein failed to mention though is that RW cant return until July. Because of the way the league drug testing policy is drawn up and the agreement that was agreed on months ago by RW's attorney, he has to sit out until the day he retired because if he doesnt basically he comes back early from his 1 year suspension/retirement. If anyone else remembers the articles from when it was rumored RW's attorneys had met with the league towards the end of last season, these were the terms upon which RW would be allowed back. The league is basically saying that the 1 year retirement can be called his suspension if he agrees to sit til the date he originally he retired.

He said something about the july date but i could remember exactly what he said. He was very detailed with names and dates in this conversation. It was not an opinion he had, it was the facts of the situation. Well if you guys didn't hear this before than i am breaking this to you now. He boldly stated it's a done deal. I think he said he got some of the info from ricky's agent also.

exactly. they have to keep it hush hush till that july date (I think that was what he was saying). can't remember the details.

Sources have also indicated that WHEN Ricky comes back he will be wearing #34 again, but will have the name "He Hate Me" on the back of his Jersey, as opposed to his previous "R. Williams".

The arrangements are supposibly being done by his agent and his attorney as goof ball is still in india.

If Ricky wants , the option is there to serve a four game suspension. That would also let him get back some weight and strength and some prolonged structure in a fitness / strength program.

The option is there for hin to be back after game 4 this year.

gives Ricky a chance to get in shape. Saban is no dope, he would welcome Ricky and get that 1-2 punch in if he could and get Ricky back in the league to get him some worth for future picks. If Ricky plays well, then Saban can keep the 1-2 punch or trade him for a pick or 2. Its the perfect situation. I say give Ricky a chance whether you love or hate em. That is our best value.

That might be the key. But you would think some local papers or ESPN would announce that a deal has been reached but Ricky won't officially join the team until July.

Dang, many things to ponder. Ricky and Ronnie, kind've reminds me of when we had a #22 or a #39 options. Would take tons of pressure off of Feeley, Lord Saban did draft a run-blocking tackle.....

However, LS also knows that chemistry is a very important part of the equation. Dont know that the older guys would let Ricky Sticky-bud back in the locker room.....
