NEWS ricky is coming back

When he comes back it won't be till July.
Saban can only speculate and say Williams is welcomed back if he chooses till July.

As soon as the deadling passes I expect Saban and Williams to be in a press conference.

Williams will serve a 4 game suspension. During that time Brown will carry the load.

Having Williams and Brown as a 1-2 punch would be a great idea. If he leaves again we have Brown. If Brown holds out or gets hurt we know we have Ricky(Kind of) Remember Ricky hated all the carries and the beatings he took. He now won't have to worry about this.

Brown has already showed he doesn't mind splitting carries.

If Williams has a solid year that opens the door for a few things.
1) WE can continue the 1-2 punch and be one of the most explosive offenses in the league
2) If Jordan doesn't pan out we will possibly be able to trade him to Oakland, Washington( Gibbs is reportedly getting tired of Portis), Arizona(if Arrington doesn't pan out) or whatever other teams need a RB. We won't have to worry about getting great return either whether it is a 2nd or whatever.

I would love to have Williams back it just makes things alot better IMO

He said something about the july date but i could remember exactly what he said. He was very detailed with names and dates in this conversation. It was not an opinion he had, it was the facts of the situation. Well if you guys didn't hear this before than i am breaking this to you now. He boldly stated it's a done deal. I think he said he got some of the info from ricky's agent also.

Dang, many things to ponder. Ricky and Ronnie, kind've reminds me of when we had a #22 or a #39 options. Would take tons of pressure off of Feeley, Lord Saban did draft a run-blocking tackle.....

However, LS also knows that chemistry is a very important part of the equation. Dont know that the older guys would let Ricky Sticky-bud back in the locker room.....

Then guys like Thomas and Taylor would just have to look at Crowder, Pope, Moore, Spraggan, Holliday, Carter, Vickerson, Roth, Bowens and Chester and realize that SABAN HAS A BACKUP PLAN.

Saban has covered all angles. If Ricky comes back and screws us, then he has Brown. Ricky wants to come back but not get as many carries he can split time with Brown.
Thomas doesn't want Williams back? Well we draft Crowder and we have Pope who Saban has praised and Bates as well.
Taylor doesn't want Williams back? Fine, we do have Roth now plus Bowens, Holliday and Carter.

Trust me, Saban would much rather trade players that are against what he is doing then keeping him just because they are stars.

Saban drafter Blue Collar, hard working team players. Not cry babies.

Don't forget Thomas and Taylor openly critiscized the hiring of Saban and not Bates as the new Head Coach. So, in Sabans eyes, they already are cyr babies and possibly not team players who are willing to accept change.

Saban is covering every angle. Doesn't mean anyone is leaving or being traded. But if they are, Saban has that area already covered.

where did this source come from?

Fred Edelstein (not sure who he's working for now) The radio broadcast was out of cleveland and he was a call in expert discussing the draft. maybe it was 1220 am out of cleveland.

Not 1 post yet condemning Ricky?? You fin fans sure have short term memories.

Never has 1 player bent over a whole team as bad as he did.

Yeah I agree. I don't know why people say Ricky will be traded. He doesn't have to be a "back-up" and he doesn't have to be a starter. Don't forget, Ronnie Brown split time in college too. Nick thinks 2 is better than 1, and I do too. Ricky and Ronnie, best duo in the league.

That has a great ring to it
Just roll them into one and call them Rocky
RunRockyRun

I say we take Ricky back.

We pay him $1.00 a carry. If he's lucky he can earn up to 30-35 dollars a game. If he scores a touch down he gets an extra 50 cents, and/or a bag of Dorito's (small bag, not a big one).

After about a 1000 seasons he can pay off his $8.6 million that he owes us. Good to have you back Ricky. Now grab your brush the urinals need cleaning. :cooldude:

If this Cleveland radio personality says Ricky is coming back, he has sources that no other outlet, anywhere has access to. I searched everywhere for backup for this story and found nothing. If a rumor of this magnitude held any weight, more than 1 person would be talking about it.

well ricky and ronnie are gonna bend you over this year. :roflmao:

Apparently we have a large bunch of people with the "battered wife syndrome." Ricky has deliberately kicked you all in the nuts and laughed while doing it. I have too much self respect to allow someone a second shot.

IF he does have clearance to come back, trade him. Get what you can. We have our RB now. We need talent at other positions. Getting another good pick for that piece of ganga smokin' cr ap will help us moreso in the long run.

Maybe if we sniff around a browns site and catch another person there that listened to the radio broadcast to confirm my post. Fred Edelstein was a high profile reporter at one time.

LOL!!!

Funny, but I am sure there will be a new contract that specifically states if he comes back and fulfills his new contract he will not have to repay the money.

I am sure the Phins will make sure they atleast get 2-3 years out of him, or make sure if he is traded and still retires he owes them the money.

I would almost guarantee that Saban told Ricky if he came back he wouldn't have to repay the money. Am I the only one that found it odd that Williams decided and made it public that he would no longer pursue not having to pay us back, that he stated this only a day or 2 after his "PHONECALL" with Saban
