NEWS ricky is coming back

Did the math. $1.00 a carry at 30 carries a game comes to $480.00 a year.

$8.6 million/$480 = 17,900 and some change.

Welcome back Ricky. Your new carry based contract calls for 17,900 years.

Not 1 post yet condemning Ricky?? You fin fans sure have short term memories.

Never has 1 player bent over a whole team as bad as he did.

We drafted Brown. We've moved on.

We don't have short term memories. We can remember the early 90's just fine. Especially the super bowls during that time.

Imagine Ricky and Ronnie. Wow!

If Saban knew Ricky was coming back, that would explain his need to take Brown and not just any of the top 3. Brown can run out as a receiver as he did at Auburn. You have two backs in the backfield with the threat of either one getting the ball (Ronnie can block) but there is also the threat that Ronnie breaks outside as a receiver. Few linebackers would be able to cover him.

go back and read the transcripts where he talks about ronnie playing with another back. hint hint hint....I can't wait till the season starts.

Auban back field south, but with rick sitting in for C. Williams, that would be awesome..but until see it on the field, it's still a dream right now.

Apparently we have a large bunch of people with the "battered wife syndrome." Ricky has deliberately kicked you all in the nuts and laughed while doing it. I have too much self respect to allow someone a second shot.

IF he does have clearance to come back, trade him. Get what you can. We have our RB now. We need talent at other positions. Getting another good pick for that piece of ganga smokin' cr ap will help us moreso in the long run.

So I see you are someone who has never made a mistake, screwed over a friend or family or at one time have ever been selfish.

Have you ever quit a job, skipped school, not shown up to something that you made plans too.

The fact is that he made 1 HUGE MISTAKE. That's it. Are you gonna forget the 2 great seasons he gave us. Are you gonna forget about all the Charity work he did while here? Are you gonna forget the benefits and autograph signings he did here?

The fact is that he was a model citizen, did Charity works for our team. He then gets screwed over by the team, he HAS A MENTAL DISORDER, and you just wanna throw him to the curb, spit on him and say "SCREW YOU"

I guess we all arean't as perfect as you:shakeno:

As much as I would like not to read too far into Saban's statements regarding that, I think you are absolutely right now that I think about it. Ricky and Ronnie in the backfield at one time...I would go crazy if I saw that alignment come September. Guess we'll just have to wait for now.

You guys are dreaming. Spielman and the owner would never welcome RW back. Remember how pissed they were? It was their idea to litigate in order to make him repay his incentives remember? Think they want him back on this team?

Think if Tom Brady quit the Pats a week before training camp to go smoke weed and eat Doritos Bellichick would take him back? If T. Owens quits the Eagles in similar fashion would Andy Reid take him back? Not a chance. Nor should we. Football players are employees. You don't rehire employees who screw you over at a crucial time. It's just bad for business.

Ricky is trade fodder. Nothing more. He will come back. He will be traded. Good riddance.

I hope he comes back. Even if we don't keep him, at least we can boost his trade value. My question is this... Do pre-season games count for the suspension? If they do he will be back for the last pre-season game. They should count... If I have to pay full price for those games then they better count...

I say we take Ricky back.

We pay him $1.00 a carry. If he's lucky he can earn up to 30-35 dollars a game. If he scores a touch down he gets an extra 50 cents, and/or a bag of Dorito's (small bag, not a big one).

After about a 1000 seasons he can pay off his $8.6 million that he owes us. Good to have you back Ricky. Now grab your brush the urinals need cleaning. :cooldude:

Hes been condemmed forever on here since last year but some of us chose to accept the fact theres a good chance hes going to be part of miamis team in 05. As fans we cant do anything but cheer or boo. I dont agree with what hes done but im not perfect either so i can forgive mistakes if the guys in the locker room can do so since it is their careers that were immediately affected.

On top of that as a Phin fan, every single 1 of us knows miami is better with RW than without so Im psyched to be getting him back if indeed thats the case.

You dont know what youre talking about. Wayne has already said that if Saban wants Ricky back then HE WILL BACK SABANS DECISION and allow it to happen.

I didn't report this earlier because I assumed you guys already heard, but according to some of your comments in the threads you must not of heard.
Fred Edelstein is reporting that Ricky has already entered the NFL drug treatment program. Secretly during the NFL Owners meetings. This was done by his attorney (since he is in India). This will keep him from being suspended for the entire year. I think he said he still has to serve the 4 game suspension. He went on to say something about some July deadline blab ha blah blah. Supposedly Nick has ok’d the whole situation and Ricky is anxious to come back and start training. This was reported on the Cleveland browns pre draft radio show by Fred on a call in. I was listening to this on the way home to catch the draft (I was running late Saturday). They were talking about this because Fred said he doubted we would draft a running back because Ricky was definitely coming back. He talked about this whole situation for well over 15 minutes. He was very detailed in his information concerning Ricky. I have no link, as it was a live radio show out of Cleveland. I think it was 1100 or 1200 am out of Cleveland. Maybe I can find some transcripts for the non-believers. Saban has been breaking it to you guys over the last week if you watch what he says and how he says it. This year is going to be awesome with the one two punch. :cooldude:

yes i knowed he was coming back because he owes us 8.6 mil he didnt try to fight it or bankrupt and he was told by a judge that he has to pay 4,200 a month child support sooooo yes i knew it that was why i was all for us to draft brylon edwards because if he dont play football he will have no way of paying that kind of money (4,200) a month he has no option but to come back and act like somebody or go to jail sooooo i knew it all the time and saban knew it to thats why i was judging his pick with ronnie brown i know ronnie isa great rb but with ricky coming back i think we should have went with edwards and right now ricky has no trade value so we wouldnt get nothing 4 him but he will be back and i know he will keep a straight head cause i would rather play football than go to jail ricky wont pull no more dissapearing act he cant afford to

Hes terrible trade fodder right now. We'd never get close to what hes worth cause of all the character issues surrounding him.
