NEWS ricky is coming back

You're absolutely right man. How could I have been so judgemental?

I say we gives those guys at Enron another shot too shall we?

LOL you are comparing this to the guys at Enron who openly knew day after day what they were doing.

Let me ask you something. What charitable thing did those boys at Enron do? How much money did they give back to the community? How did they make anything better?

Besides Ricky didn't screw anyone out of money. Unless you paid the $70 for his jersey.

I don't believe any of our players had any playoff incentives in their contracts?

His timing was horrible. But once again, are you perfect? Do you even know what it's like to deal with someone who has his mental disorder? I bet you don't because if you did you wouldn't have such disrespect. If you do you are pathetic.

If that's the case McMichaels shouldn't be on the team either.

How many players on our team left before their senior year of College? If they did they quit on their schools and they quit on their scholarships. So let's find out how many players on this team we have to kick off so we can get a holier then thou team.

Thomas is gone- He takes plays off on field goals and extra points so he let's the team down
Madison is gone- His selfishness led to us signing Howard and not being able to affor an extension to Surtain
McMichaels should be gone- Domestic Abuse
Poole should be gone- Dont know the specifics but he has had some problems
Seau should be gone- He's a racist lol!!! sarcasm

The list goes on and on. Everyone I listed made mistakes, but not one of them, except maybe Seau contributed to the community and to charites as much as Williams did.

Don't you guys see how diabolically brilliant this whole thing is...Ricky met with Zach and Jason last year with a plan to oust Wanny AND get some relief for Ricky; as Dave was running him to death like a mule.

They told Ricky to take a year off, smoke some dope, heal from the pounding you've endured, and we start this thing fresh in '05 with the best Running back TANDEM ever put on a field and a slightly better head coach.

Mu uh ha ha ha

Think if Tom Brady quit the Pats a week before training camp to go smoke weed and eat Doritos Bellichick would take him back?

You got a thing for Dorito's?

LOL, perfect, except Nick is WAY more than just a "slightly" better head coach. NFL proven or not, ANYONE is better than Dave W.

Man, I will NEVER forgive Ricky for just ditching us like that, for the REASON he did it, but if he comes back and is in playing shape, I can't say that having Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams wouldn't excite me. I'm not like some people going all nuts cuz this is "ricky's second coming" blah blah blah, I still don't trust the guy, I still don't think he is in playing shape, mentally or physically, and I still think he has alterior motives for coming back. I think he is coming back because that's the only way he can not pay us the $8 million he owes, or the NFL is th only place he will MAKE $8 million TO be able to pay us back. IMO he is coming back for the $, not the game, which leads me to believe as soon as his $ situation is cleared up he is out the door again. NOW I'm ok with him coming back, because we drafted Brown, so if he leaves again it's no biggie, but had we passed on one of the "Big 3" and then counted on him, I would have lost all faith in Saban.

If he does come back

What will the salary cap hit be ? Can we afford to very high priced RB's ? Or will they say take the minimum and you keep the 8.6 mil. ????????????

maybe he'll play for free to work off out 8+ million?

Damn .... Williams and Brown ... or Brown and Williams ... however you want to say it ....

All it means to me is over 2K yards rushing.

And sorry to say it ... but I can just imagine when they are in a two back set ... the snap takes place and Ricky goes out in the flat to the right ... Ronnie out to the flat in the left ... and the opposing linebackers saying OH **** ... not to mention the safeties saying ... OH **** who the hell am I supposed to try to help out ... Booker running open across the middle in the slot ... Chambers and (Maybe Boston) doing flies down both sidelines .... Would be a fun sight to see as long as the OLine(which with Houck I have complete confidence) holds up.

Now tell me that you didnt smile in that situation ... I dare ya

actually ricky is suspended for the whole 2005 season unless he kisses major *** to the nfl and they somehow change it...despite that even if ricky does come back hes probobly gonna be traded

Prepare yourself ....Ricky WILL be back and he WILL NOT be traded. You might as well be happy about it because our backfield is going to be UNBELIEVABLE!!! Why do you think Saban keeps saying things about Browns versatility, and how he compliments ANY other back??? HMMMMMM..... It only makes sense, and if you watch Saban and listen to what he has to say - you have to understand that he empathises w/ Ricky....I'm sure the 2 of them are on the same page. Wandstedt was NEVER intelligent enough to deal w/ Ricky Williams. Ricky saw the writing on the wall. The 60 minutes interview they talked about the Super Bowl etc.....Ricky basically said he didnt feel the same way others did i.e coaching staff - that Miami had a chance to do anything.....He was right - I'm glad he left, because we might still be stuck with *******.

If Ricky ever plays for us again, it won't be for long. We've got our RB. Saban would merely be showcasing Ricky to other teams.

WRONG WRONG WRONG.....Anybody else that writes this **** just shut up....because you are just stupid. DO you really think anybody would give us anything for Ricky????? What a 5th rounder??? No thanks!!! nobody would give more than a late 4th for Travis Henry for christ sake.....and he doesn't have any character questions AND HE HAS BEEN TO THE PRO BOWL!!! So shut up. Saban can manage Ricky....Ricky wouldn't come back if it wasn't for Saban.....and he has more value to miami than any other team. DEAL WITH IT! RICKY WILL BE A DOLPHIN......AND YOU IDIOTS BETTER SUPPORT HIM.....BECAUSE YOU WILL ALL JUMP BACK ON THE BANDWAGON WHEN WE HAVE 2 1000 YRD BACKS.....AND WE ARE WINNING FOOTBAL GAMES AGAIN!

Mod edit: When you call people stupid and idiots you get to take a little vacation from posting but, when you call an admin stupid and an idiot, you'll be lucky to ever post here again. I'm giving you 24 hours off but, I'm almost positive that you've been suspended before and I'm going to double check that. If you have been suspended before, you can expect a much longer vacation.

If the Patriots went 4-12 and were the laughing stock of the league because of their offseason?????? Maybe??? However Ricky Williams has technically never betrayed Nick Saban. This is a different situation.

I've said this 1000000 times and never get any reponse but here are the scenarios where we could be major losers if we don't handle the Ricky Williams situation properly, regardless of what he has done.

Scenario 1

We bring him back and he puts in a half hearted effort and plays football just to earn enough money to get out again. That would suck and it would certainly solidfy the hatred many of us feel towards Ricky. However at least we have an extremely talented back along with him so this wouldn't hurt that much.

Scenario 2

Now here is my biggest fear regardless of what Ricky has done. We bring him back and trade him to another team for virually nothing, becuase lets face it despite popular belief on this website Ricky Williams has no trade value at this point, and he plays for another team ans is better than anything we have for the next 3 or 4 years. OUCH that would really suck.

I say we let him come back and share time with Ronnie Brown in 2005 as a backup, get Ricky about 200 carries. Then allocate him to NFL Europe and hope he gets about 350 more carries. Then repeat the cycle in 2006 and after Ricky has about 1100 of almost uninterupted carries we trade him. J/K

Goos points about the trade stuff anyway. Anybody who actually thinks Ricky Williams has trade value right now is an idiot. I'm sorry but there is no other way to put it.

Let me use David Boston as an example, he's another very eccentric odd player with a lot of talent who fits the Williams mode. Boston has never pulled the kind of shananigans Ricky has, like Quitting on his team, and we only gave up a 6th rounder for him. We'd be lucky to get a 7th for Ricky.
